Yep, it wasn't bad. Not as good as my local display though, where they set three bushes on fire by accident!!

you saw it too!!!!

It was AWESOME!!!The best fireworks show i have ever seen!

When they projected all that stuff onto buckingham palace - they must of been very powerful projectors!

Another thing i thought was cool, was when the queen lit this string, its fizzled down into a box - which fired a rocket across the road into a box, and with a huge explosion, the final beacon was lit.

The images of a sea of people waving union jack flags was very very good to see.

What does that video have in it steve? does it have all of the fireworks including the projections and the lighting of the beacon?

I taped the whole thing, im really glad i did.:D

It really was, a show i will never forget :)

Yeah it was a great show! Certainly the best I have seen in the UK. The video online is the BBC feed, and it is the entire show, starting with the fuse wire lighting, all the way through to the conclusion.

I bet there were some serious nerves with the pyro crew! Imagine that show not firing! yikes LOL.

I saw it. The fireworks were awesome.

Still didn't ease my pain at having to suffer Will Young crucifying I Heard It Through The Grapevine.

Ok... I use windows xp, I clicked on the link, and the windows media player window opened... then the video starts, but it keeps downloading while I watch it, so the image gets cut many times while it dloads more and more. It´s taking forever! Also, I don´t hear any sounds... is it mute?

I´m just curious if this is normal for everyone or I´m doing something wrong.

So far, I like it! I´ve only watched 4mins in half hour! :(

Thanks for posting it! How cool... where you all there, Brits? I saw pics of the crowd and thought of you! :animwink:

Walt Disney himself would have been proud of those fireworks and as for the son et lumiere show on the Palace!!!!
I do agree with the comments about Will Young though - He was weak in both songs. And I actually quite like him! (not as much as I like Darius though!!)

Hi Maria!

Try doing a right click on the link, and choose SAVE TARGET AS... it will then download to your harddisk, where you can play it back later without it stopping all the time. The clip does have sound, you should be OK once you have it all downloaded.

If you do a left click and try it play it right away without downloading it all first, you will need a fast connection (ADSL upwards), not a modem.

Hope that helps!! :)

Thank you Steve!

I lost my patience and just minimized that window and checked again later and saw it complete but without audio.... then I don´t know what I did, that it started again with audio and without cuts! So I watched it again.... haha...

After that, I figured out how to save it and even forwarded your link to a couple of brits friends I know who live in the US and my city. They loved it! (Hope you don´t mind...) ;-)

Thanks again! :)

I saw some of the show. I'm certainly not reserved and I am a big fan of rude and offensive humour in the right place. I though Ben Elton was the most inappropriate choice they could have made for such an occassion. I couldn't believe that he didn't clean up his act or show a bit of respect for the occassion he was honoured to be involved in.

I think the problem was that he DID clean it up, and it was still like that!

Tony Blairs face - which one? It is quite nice to see him without his head up George Bush's for a change isn't it?

Good old Queen tony. Sorry, i meant President Tony.

(Might have been closer the first time) Ha ha ha ha!
