BSA Discounts

I heard that the disney parks give discounts to all BSA members. I'd like to know since i am an eagle scout. :shrug:

Me neither. Googled it and the only thing I was able to find was a general 'Youth Group' discount, but nothing specific to BSA.

I doubt that WDW can (or should) give discounts to BSA members since it's really just a recreational organization - I was once a boy scout as well, though.

Fellow Eagle Scout here.

That is pretty cool, there are less than 4 thousand in the world I hear and ...two of them are in this thread. Sorry, just thought that was pretty neat.

Also, I would doubt as I have surely never heard of it. They don't even give discounts to even Teachers and other educators like they used to, which is a shame.

I would also not classify BSA as recognized as recreational only. It is highly recognized by the military, particularly Eagle Ranking as you jump up rank in the Military. Not bragging honestly, just saying it is fairly recognized as an ethical citizenship and loyalty pledge more than just recreational...

I think The Shriners/Free Masons should get discounts.

Now there are 3 Eagles in this thread! yay! I just completed Eagle about a yr 1/2
ago. It's pretty cool. The discount would be cool since me and my friends are gonna go back in 2013.

There is no "I was" an Eagle Scout. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.

As for the teacher discounts, you should check your local educator's association. I know in PA, the PSEA offers discount tickets (better than I have found with any other site including undercover tourist). Not aware of any special BSA discount. If you hear about some, let me know because I'm heading down tomorrow.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to belittle the organization at all. I was just pointing out that if Disney offers discounts to BSA members, then it would have to start offering discounts to a lot of other organizations to be fair.

4 thousand in the world seems low as I make number 6 in this thread alone. : )

Now we all know how correct wiki is, but those numbers seem a bit more in line with what I have seen.

Still, congrats to all my fellow Eagle Scouts on the board.

Edit: Oh yeah. Never heard of a BSA discount. Doesn't seem like something Disney would do. BSA isn't really a charity and that seems to be where most of their stuff like that goes. Maybe a group discount pacakge, but I don't think anything specific to BSA.

Yeah the number from wiki seem much more correct. My troop has had around 120 Eagles in its 100 year history.
