Bringing food and drinks into the parks

As far as I know, yup! I mean, you wouldn't want to carry around a whole meal in a bag around until meal time everyday, but water bottles, sandwiches and bags of chips are okay. Of course, they prefer you buy food in the parks, but hey, I don't feel like paying $2.50 for water either! :hammer:

We always take drinks and snacks in the kids' backpacks and have never had a problem (even now that they search bags, nobody seemed to care). As long as you're not bringing in a full picnic lunch in a cooler, or (of course) alcohol or breakable bottles it shouldn't be a problem.

No Problem

We had some friends that went with us in May and we carried enough snacks and water for 4 people with no problems. We froze the water the night before so by about 10:00 we could drink it with no problems and it was still cold. We used a backpack to carry everything. We had to pass the bag through security on our way into the park, but other than that no problems or issues. Thought the WDW Security screen was a more thorough than IOA or US that we went to the same week.

Yeah, you can pretty much take in what you want. We just got back late late late last night..we were there for ten days and no one ever questioned what we were taking in. I dont think the whole security thing is much more than Disney trying to give the public a sense of security. We opened up our bags and they poked a stick in them and looked around but we never had to open up anything inside the bag. We took in fruit snacks, bottled water, peanut butter crackers etc..for the 2,5 & 8 yr old.
