Maybe I misunderstood...but I thought this movie was produced as an ABC Family original. If that's a fact...why in the world would they film the whole thing at the Universal Orlando Resort!?!

I think you may have misunderstood. The fourth entry into the Bring It on Series was not an ABC Family original movie. It was released onto DVD and then shown on ABC Family.
I was also confused with why they chose Universal as the setting... Ashley Tisdale and her sister were in the movie, so I would have found WDW a better setting.

Universal owns the whole Bring It On franchise. Hence, Universal Orlando would be a great place to film it for them.

They released it on DVD originally. But ABC Family has the rights to show it on TV (Much how like USA, which is owned by Universal, has the rights to show National Treasure and Pirates of the Caribbean, which are Disney films). It wasn't an ABC Family Original, but was a World Television Premiere on ABC Family.

It was like a giant advertisement for Universal, although I found it funny that in reality, WDW is where Cheerleading championships usually take place.

Plus, although Ashley Tisdale is usually thought of as a Disney star, I believe her music label is with Warner Bros., so Disney really couldn't step in and say anything.

I was just confused by why ABC Family would play a movie set in Universal. I didn't get to watch the movie last night, but from the previews it looks like this was the worst of the four Bring It On movies, and a wannabe rip of West Side Story. I like the original one and the third one (the one with Hayden Panettierre and Solange Knowles).

I was a cheerleader in high school, so yeah, I like cheerleading movies.

I watched the movie. I was a bit disappointed. Most of the girls were bleach blonde and orange from the tanning bed. I still think the original Bring It On movie is the best.
