Jobs will not get cash in the deal. He will get $3.5 billion worth of Disney shares and a seat on the board of directors. He might even be the chairman of the Disney board. Disney adopted new governance rules for its board after Eisner gave up his position as chairman. Now, the CEO and all other people working for Disney in operations cannot be on the board of directors (well actually they can be, but then they are not considered to be independent directors).DarkMeasures said:Steve should say yes. And then use all that money to buy shares so he becomes a Disney board member.
I'm hoping Jobs becomes the chairman of the board. It would bring a good balance.Woody13 said:Jobs will not get cash in the deal. The decision does not rest with Jobs. The Pixar board must make the decision. Reports state that the Pixar board is in favor of the deal. So, it looks like a go.imagineer boy said:PLEASE say yes steve! If Pixar gets bought by Disney, and Jobs gets more control over the Disney empire, this could be the start of a string of great things for Disney.
