Breakfast reservation for 9:05 AM

Hey everyone

So last year I had a reservation for 8:50 AM at Be Our Guest and was able to get in at 8AM sharp and have my meal early than the actual reservation. This year, unfortunately the earliest I could book for breakfast was at 9:05AM. I was told that some of the rules changed recently concerning the park hours and reservations and now we are only allowed inside 15-10 minutes before the reservation.

How accurate is this rumor? Although my reservation is for 9:05 on a day which the park opens at 9, I was planning on arriving at 8 like last year so I could finish the food earlier.

Thanks a lot for the help everyone! I apologize if I posted my question on the wrong forum :)

You know about everyone being let in at 8am and being allowed to browse in Main Street and the Hub, right? The welcome show is at around 8:50 and then they drop the ropes.

With a 9:05 reservation, you likely won't be allowed past the Hub early, as they will say you can make it once they drop the rope. Still worth trying though, look for the CMs on the LHS of the castle; they may let you through but probably only by 5 or 10 minutes ahead of the rush.

To be honest I only booked BOG so I could be done early. The plan was to finish eating before 9 and head straight to Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion before 10. Not sure if I should just cancel this reservation or try to find an earlier time the day before, which can be a bit risky.

Depending on when you're going, don't forget that even a PPO breakfast at BOG can be thwarted by the opening hours being extended.

If you're really not bothered about the breakfast, then just rope drop, and head straight to those rides. They'll be a walk on at rope drop, almost everyone else will be heading to Fantasyland and 7dmt.

Thanks a lot for the insight.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, would you think that if I do end up going to BOG at 9AM and finish at lets say 9:45, will I have enough time to go on Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion in less than an hour?

As I mentioned before, I have been to BOG multiple times already. I always enjoy it as I am a big Beauty and the Beast fan, but I wouldn't mind cancelling the reservation if I have to in order to have a shorter line. How busy is Adventureland usually in the mornings?

Most people will head to Fantasyland. I would think you'd be OK with those rides, because most people heading that way would try for Splash and BTMRR first. But that said, I do not rope drop, so my advice is based on second hand evidence and the TP wait times.
