Breakfast at AK

My cousin made us a reservation for breakfast at the Animal Kingdom with Donald Duck (please don't ask me to spell it). Our reservation time is 8am. The park doesn't open until 9am and it's not an extra hours day. How does that work? I assume that they will let us into the park early if we have reservation. Also will the busses be running that early to get us there in time? Thanks

I just called the dining folks about this today. They said that the restaurants open approx 1 hour before park opening (non emh days) and that we could make reservations at the Crystal Palace for 8:05 even though MK does not open until 9 am that day.

She said I MUST have my confirmation number to get into the park before opening.

As for the busses question, I don't know ... I hope so.

You go to the park, and they will have you name and dining time. You have to check in, and when it is your time, a CM will escort you through the park to the restaurant.

Did Donald's Breakfastosaurus this morning. There are turnstiles under a banner that says "Donald's Breakfastosaurus", go to them. There was a CM with a printout of the reservations checking people off as we waited in line. When they got word that the restaurant was ready, they let us in. Today was EMH and hundreds were lined up at other turnstiles, but where they were stopped at Discovery Island waiting for rope drop, we skirted around and headed for the restaurant. I had my confirmation number, but no-one asked for it.

Did you drive or take a bus? I'm guessing that if it were an EMH day that the busses were probably running a little early any way, but the day we go it is not.
