Bourbons..WDW.?

I'm tagging @pugmalion1 so he sees this. He's a bourbon man. I have lots that I like but am not as familiar as he with what the Disney World bars stock. I know I've had a neat glass of Woodford there, and that's better than Jim and Jack (which isn't bourbon at all) by a country mile. If you can find them, Bulliet and Eagle Rare are two other favorites in this household.

Ok Buddies..Hope this thread doesn't start a bourbon war between the north and the south, but what bourbon would you recommend at Disney,? And where would one try it..?...:inlove:..I've tried quite a few like Jack Daniels and Jim Beam back in Scotland..But I'am looking for something special..Your recommendations please..:hungry:..

Jack Daniel's is not bourbon - it is damn close to being bourbon, but it's not.

I don't know of any place in WDW that carries good bourbon, but then it is not something I normally go looking for when I am out for some reason. I drink it at home, but not normally when I am out. - Odd

Believe it or not,but it's the same for me..If Mrs Hatter and I go out back home,it's a nice meal, with a bottle of vino,a few drinks then home..At WDW,I drink even less..Yes I enjoy the odd cocktail and a margarita or two last year. That was the first time..But I prefer to enjoy a malt in my house with a beer chaser..

As @Sweet Melissa mentioned up there, I have definitely had pours of Woodford and Jefferson while at the resorts. They are both good quaffs, and I prefer the Woodford Reserve of the two. That being said, I don't really drink a lot of straight bourbon on vacation. Most of the restaurants that actually have good bourbon available usually take the time to also develop a good, unique bar menu. While I do love a couple of fingers of straight whiskey, I will almost always order an interesting looking Manhattan, if they take great care in developing one for their cocktail menu.

Mmm... Manhattans. I'm going to have one or five tonight!

I had the Frozen Red Stagg Lemonade at The American Adventure Pavilion on our recent trip. I thought it was quite tasty...of course, you're getting this from someone who will drink but only has about the equivalent of a 12 pack/year.

Maybe because you don't feel the need to unwind and relax with the scotch/beer combo at Disney because you are already relaxed by being in the bubble ?

I've developed a taste for bourbon since my last visit to WDW, so I've never checked out what is available there. Knowing both Woodford and Jefferson's are options is a good sign though. I'd also give the edge to Woodford, but I think they're pretty close overall. Right now my top bourbon is Blanton's, but I have no idea if you can get it at Disney.

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
It is my third favourite aperitif after rum & tequila. I currently enjoy Devils Cut, Rebel Yell and Buelitt Bourbon. Though best of all and yes not a bourbon im partial to some Tennessee Honey.
