Bourbon Trail coming to Disney Springs May 1

Disney Springs is not great for bars though... it's mainly restaurants, and the best ones are usually crowded with limited bar seating.

Notice what they did there?

Dumped their own overhead running bars to immediately allow third party vendors to quickly turn it into a bar place?

Right according to plan.

Waiting for Vodka Blvd over at DHS and maybe Gin Alley at AK. And then the whole "world" can be drunk. Well, other than the MK which will have Smoothie Lane.

I actually like this.....but I don't like that they are publicizing it. We all know about drinking around the world, but Disney doesn't make map- like brochures out of it. Just do it - and word of mouth will spread.

DAK already has Rum Road just look at all the "specialty" cocktails offered around the park at CS/QS and Kiosks. Pretty much all some form of Lemonade and Rum.

I don't understand how this works. Is it like an outdoor thing or small seating just for this event? What makes it a bourbon trail if you still have to sit down and order? Any other details on this?

It would be cool if there were outdoor kiosks like at Epcot Food & Wine.

... doing bourbon tasting flights...

I cannot imagine the price. IIRC, Disney charges like ~$18 for Creek SB, which is a pretty basic offering. Have to wonder if people would really pay the premium for the small batch drams that are really at the forefront of the whiskey scene right now.

Well, if they can charge $30 for an ounce and a half of mediocre tequila, they can surely get at least that much for an ounce and a half of premium bourbon(s)...
