what is bounce back. how doe this work?

It's a special offer to book a future WDW vacation that you can only book while you are a guest in at a WDW resort. There's usually a pamphlet placed in your resort room with a number to call from there. You cannot book after your check out, when you get home, etc - only while you are currently a guest at the resort. It's usually a room discount or a free dining package, and you have to follow the terms of the offer, including travel dates, resort availability, etc. - just as you would if you were booking a special offer online.

The bounce back in your room in September will only be valid in 2017.

It's unlikely. Like I said, you don't really get to "choose" when the next trip is - it'll have to be within the parameters of the offer (ie. Aug 30th to Oct. 1st) or something along those lines.

After a trip you'll receive a bounce back offer in the mail. Akways a discount off resorts, sometimes a dining plan for free. If you book a bounce back while on the current trip they usually offer an even bigger bounce back discount.

That is not considered a bounce back offer....that is a Pin code offer and not everyone receives one.
