Here is a general discussion about various books you can purchase.

I recently purchased a book about imagineering from WDW and the book is amazing. It shows how rides are thought up and what goes into the planning and whatnot of each ride. Purchased at WDW

the next book purchased was the 100 years of magic book. The book is a great book imo, because it catalogues all of the current rides at WDW and gives a little blurb here and there. Purchased at WDW

the final book, which was released in 1982 is Walt Disney's Epcot. (if i remember correctly...lol) it is a book totally about Epcot and how it came to be and gives a preview/overview of things. It talks about the Africa pavilion and things of that nature. Purchased on EBAY

Are there any other books that anyone else has? Are these books still available (that you are talking about?)

My personal favorite is called 'mouse ears - behind the scenes'
It is about all the things that went wrong in disneyland in the 50's-70's. The last chapter makes refrence to WDW. I don't think the book is still in print...I had to order it directly from the publisher (after continously checking it out of the library). I'm sure if i checked now, it would be on Ebay.

I have the Epcot book, and it is amazing!
It's very informative and has tons of pictures, concept paintings, etc.
Does anyone know if there are any books that have a comprehensive history of WDW? If anyone knows about the book called "Disneyland" it is basically a start to early-90s look at DL. It has tons on the history of DL, and then it goes into each decade, looking at all the new rides and stuff. Is there a book like this on WDW? Is that 100 yrs of magic book essentially the same thing?
