Okay, this is something I'm firmly against. But due to Disney's very annoying and terrible website.. Which resulted in my friend (Lori) booking a room, and then not having a room left for myself. Even though the room was available for at least 2 hours after it wouldn't allow us to book it, Disney's chat agents refused to give us the room. Regardless we then intrusted Expedia because it would tell us if there was only one room left... Moving on, Expedia obviously wouldn't give us a Disney conformation number. So with that, do you get magicbands, I am annual passholder who already has magicbands, from my pass and my previous stays. However Lori, will be an annual passholder doesn't want to buy our passes until we get there. So will really she get magicbands? I'm calling disney first thing tomorrow to see if there is something they can do for us with the situation that occurred, and find out if I could and to adjust other aspects of the reservation(s).

So... I'm confused! Let's say I book through a different company. ( which I have never done before but it seems to be way less money) Will I be able to get wristbands, fastpasses, dinning reservations, and have all my info on my disney experience?

Yes. The key is to get the *Disney* reservation number from whoever you book through. Then log into MDE and enter the number to link it to your profile. Some travel agents/booking sites make it harder than others to actually obtain this number. (I know Orbitz includes it in their confirmation email along with a web link to connect it to MDE)

The only thing is that if you call Disney they can't modify your reservation, but you can get Magic Bands and everything else. Watch what address they are sending the magic bands to because the one time we went through Orbitz it changed the address on our Disney account to Orbitz main office.
