Booking on Expedia

Has anyone booked a room at the Royal Pacific on Expedia? It says it includes the Express Pass which I know that guests staying in one of the 3 Universal resorts get. But then what's the best way of ordering my park tickets? Based on the room rate, it does not appear that the park tickets are included in the price. If I order them separately, how does the Express Pass I get through Expedia hook up with them?

Express is on the hotel room key or purchased separately at the park but always (with one exception, the VIP ticket) different than your admission ticket.
An admission ticket gets you into the park, an express pass (in any form) gets you into the express line. Different products. Does that help?

Yes, that clears it up for me. I'll purchase my park tickets independent from Expedia, and I'll just show my room key to get onto the Express lines. Thank you!

One more question if you don't mind: am I correct that the by using my room key to get in the express lines, I will only be able to use it once for each ride that has an express line? If so, how do they keep track of that?

You are allowed to ride via Express as much as you'd like if you're a resort guest - the one-time-per-attraction rule is only for the separate Express Plus pass for regular guests. You'll be able to use it for everything except Rockit, Forbidden Journey, and Pteranadon Flyers.

Have a great trip!

Note that the other major benefit of staying on-site is it gets you in to IOA one hour early for WWOHP. The Forbidden Journey does not have an express line; the only way to not stand in a long line for this attraction is to go early as an on-site guest.

Yes, this one I know! In fact it's the primary reason why we're going to spend one night at Universal rather than tagging on another night a Disney which would be cheaper. DD and I want to spend a lot of time exploring the WWOHP, both stores and rides, while DS and DH want to do all the thrills rides in the parks.

Thanks everyone for your responses. They were very helpful.
