Booking Now or Later?

good question...we booked our april 26th to may 5th (art of animation) vacation last Wednesday. We went ahead and put the 200 bucks down and we knew going in that no discounts would be available......yet. What you can do is, when and if any discounts/free dining come out, all you have to do is call back and they will apply it to your reservation. Its also good to do it that way, so when your 180 days out, you can go ahead and book all your dining reservations. If you wait until any discounts come out (which is never promised lol) you might end up being under 180 days so dining res. may be harder to come by. Play it safe I say!

sweet! were on the every two yr plan lol. (2010, 2012 and now 2014)...our daughter will be 3 so its perfect and our son will be 7...were right in the sweet spot with the kids ages. And im obsessed. If I had it my way it would be every year but man its pricey!! We just booked last Wednesday for the little mermaid rooms, staying from a sat. to a sat....we would love to fly but were not seeing flights for less than 1000! last time we payed 700 cause' our daughter was free....so we MAY drive from Greensboro, NC to Orlando! Leave on a Friday around 2 pm...drive till 10 (with stops included lol) stay in Jacksonville, FL then get up, eat and we should be in WDW by 11 or 12 pm!

I usually book my WDW pkg/lodging before any discounts (air or Disney come out). Unless you think your dates would change by a lot, I'd rather get my deposit down and have the benefit of 180+10 for ADRs. i.e. since discounts usually come out after the 180 mark and the deposit, especially for a pkg, is going to be the same no matter when you book...why not get that in there so you get that perk for booking your dining?

Our kiddo will 3.5 when we go! We've got free flights this time but I'm sure we will have to drive from TX at some point in time! I plan to stop in NOLA ;-)

Love to go November 2014 for my birthday, so I will be bugging him again in May 2014 ( 6 months before).;)

that wouldn't be too bad of a drive....but free flights sound reaaalll good lol...NC to FL is about 10 to 11 hrs...were going to break it up with a 7 hr drive, then get up in the a.m and finish the 3.5 hrs...piece of cake lol

We need time for things to happen.
Are you talking about booking the package - rooms, tickets etc or the flights?

If you're talking about WDW vacation package - do it now, put down the 200 bucks deposit. You can always change it if discounts come around and you want to change etc.

If you're talking about flights, as other have mentioned if it's with SWA, book as soon as your dates become available. You can always move them around\ cancel them at no cost.
