I am in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Florida next summer. How early to you guys recommend to book your rooms? Also, it will be a 2 week vacation and 5 days will be spent at Universal. Would you do that before WDW or after?

Back in the day, people booke a year in advace, but now you really dont have to.. I just booked for May, last month.. with lots of rooms available (PO and Wilderness Im staying at) There will be no shortage of rooms, so you realy dont have to book so far in advance... only if you want to :) just so you can say "I;m going to Disney World!" :sohappy:

Meega, nala kwishta!
Were going in October, and I would have already booked if it wasn't for my sister and brother in-law going along this time. We have to work out all the times and schedules, and that has prevented us from booking just yet.

So we'll be booking sometime in April for an October visit (AKL of course :D ).

You can book up to 2 years in advance if you so choose. Since the tourism in FL. has been down since 9/11 it has been easier to get a room. I would suggest that you do it at least 6 months in advance in order to assure that you get the Resort/room of your choice.

If you are going in Summer 04 then you can book whenever you want. Remeber though that Disney has not released rates for that time yet, and even though you book it doesn't mean your rate is guaranteed. It can go up as well as go down.
