Hey all! Our family has decided to stay at WDW Nov 27- Dec 3, 2015. We have booked our package already. Our package is: POFQ, DDP, and 7-day Park Hopper. Our group is: Me, DW, DS (8 years old,) and DD (2 years old) My questions are:

1. Is it easy to take advantage of any offer that comes up for our travel dates between now and the time we go? The CM that booked us said we could do this, but I wonder how easy it is.

2. How difficult is it to pay cash for food for one person (the 2-year-old,) and have everyone else on the dining plan?

3. If we go to Mickey's Christmas Party, can we load the tickets on our Magic Bands?

Thanks for the info!

1. Very easy. If a deal is available, all you have to do is call and they will apply the discount. Takes a 5-minute call.
2. Because the DDP is not available for 2-year olds, it shouldn't be a problem. Just tell your server at the beginning of the meal that the 3 of you are on the DDP but that you'd also like to order X, Y, and Z for your daughter. This should be no more complicated than ordering an appetizer when you are on the DDP, as you have to pay for that out of pocket, too.

Don't know about #3.

The only thing I will add to what ITSC said is that you have to be careful about the dates. If book now and lock in todays prices and you are actually going after the price increase in June/July any changes you make after that increase date will be factored using the increased price.

Example - in March of 13 we booked a October tip for 8 nights at ASMo before any packages were released. The June/July increase went into effect and packages were release right after. We called to add the package (15% off of the room) and the price actually went up because it was 15% off of the new prices. They had increased Room, meal plan, and tickets. So by the time everything was done we would have ended up paying an extra $40-$50 to add the package and get the same exact thing we already had. In the end it worked in our favor because I kept escalating it up (3 or 4 tiers) because they refused to tell me what the actual prices of anything were, eventually they hook my son up with a $100 GC that was waiting for him at check in. Before anybody accuses me of making demands, all I was asking was what were the price differences between what I paid and what the current price was of each category (room, food, ticket), they apologized for not having the information and not being able to get it and offered the GC.

The dining plan works well with us with our 18 month old because all the snacks we had we let her use for breakfast and lunch and ended up working out very good. We also did a lot of buffet meals in which they can eat so I never had to pay out of pocket for her food.
