Book for 9 nights at the Boardwalk Resort but have an issue......

We are a family of 4 and have already confirmed our reservations. We have the 1 bedroom villa. My daughters boyfriend is now coming along with us making us a total of 5. I see know issue with room space since our little one can share the king with my wife and I. I cannot seem to add a 5th to the reservation. I noticed online that DVC members have no problem adding a 5th knowing that they need to provide bedding for the 5th person. Can a non-dvc member have this same privilege? We fly out next week so trying to up size would be impossible. I need to stay setting up fast-pass but cannot add him unless he is on the resort reservation.

Give them a call. Boardwalk 1 bed villas now sleep 5 adults being there is now a pull down bed under the TV. They have a King bed,Queen sleeper sofa, and the new pull down. Online is glitchy.

Oh good! Ill give them a call now. I called the Walt Disney vacation number and told me she couldn't add him. She looked up the hotel info and read the description from the website. Ill call the hotel directly. Thanks!

They used to only sleep 4 but with the new renovations sleep 5 in studios and the 1 bed villas. BUT last I heard not all rooms were done so this may be the issue. If you called the reservation line and they aren't allowing you the hotel directly probably can't help you either. The systems might still not allow that 5th person yet.

I believe just the Studio rooms have the small Murphy bed, not the 1-bedrooms.

I read elsewhere that dumb as it may seem, the studios now are listed to sleep 5, yet the 1 BRs only sleep 4.

Yes you are correct I forgot that when they refurbished it was only added to the Studio. I had a brain fart! Haha! We are always only 2 and stay in a 1 bed Villa so this has never been an issue at any of the DVC resorts for us personally.
So yes she is unfortunately out of luck with the 1 bed Villa at BW being she can't have 5 in the room unless the little one is under 3. They would have to switch DVC resorts to one of the resorts that 1 bed villas sleep 5, or switch to a studio or 2 bed villa at BW.

Okay thank you I guess I was not having a complete brain fart!! Haha! I knew I saw that somewhere. Lol. I was wrong about that pull down now in the 1 bed villa but I knew I saw somewhere they can accommodate 5. But yes I suggest calling again if it is allowed to add him.

In addition to this, every motel across from Anehiem Disneyland's entrance that my family has stayed at has offered an extra rolling bed for no extra cost for me to sleep in. I can't imagine that an official Disney World hotel wouldn't have these available, but still, best of luck getting the extra bed.
