Has anyone stayed at the Bonnett Creek Resort, Silver Springs, or other RCI resort near Disney? We are planning a trip for next June and will use our points - any other timeshare points holders out there that have used their points for a Disney vacation?

Any input or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I hear from friends who have stayed at Bonnett Creek that the transportation is worse than horrible. According to my friends, one should not stay at Bonnett Creek without their own transportation.

I don't know anything about Bonnet Creek but I would like to highly recommend Orange Lake. Orange Lake is about as close to Disney as possible without being on property. I believe their property actually backs right up to AK. Orange Lake has great pools and nice activities during the day and evening hours and if you can get in one of the newest units in the River Island section, you won't be sorry.

I stayed at Bonnet Creek and it is amazing! It is a beautiful resort and it is on Disney property it is in the middle of it all. I agree with an earlier post the transportation isn't the best, we drove ourselves, but I have also heard that it is getting better! You will certainly not be disappointed with the accomodations!

Orange Lake

I have been a member of Orange Lake for 9 years and would highly recommend it. It has about everything you would need in a resort. Yes, it is nice to stay on Disney property but it still does not have the space that a unit at Orange Lake has.

We're RCI members and stay offsite every time. Bonnett Creek is nice, but a bit cramped if you have a larger family. Definatley have your own transportation if you go that route, it's much easier. Orange Lake is nice, but has grown so much over the last 15 years that it has lost some of its original charm. Opt for phase two if you can get it, it's closer to the good pools and phase one is really starting to show its age. It does have a nice pool area and water park though, nicer than most other resorts in the area. Just did Cypress Pointe this past January, which is located just north of the southeast entrance near DTD. Very close, about a good 1 wood away from the entrance, and the rooms are roomier & nicer that Orange Lake. Problem is, it's pretty much the geriatric folks and there are no elevators to the upper levels. A real pain when you're hauling luggage.

Good Luck!
