Gosh, I went to Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort for the first time last year and it was , can I say it, MAGICAL.And I'm not even a buffet person either.

I haven't done any of the other buffet style eateries at WDW. Do any of the rest of them come close to Boma in uniqueness and flavor of dishes as well as value?

If you haven't been to Boma, make a point of it. You get to familiarize yourself with the AKL too. But it is a feast of treats from meat to veggies, soups to desserts and specialty drinks. I can't wait to go back in Feb! :D

Boma is great, we loved it there as well, we also enjoyed Biergarten and 1900 Park fare for dinner buffet, but they were not as good as Boma IMHO.

I don't care for buffet's either BUT, this is a REAL WINNER!! So many options for everyone!!

Right? I usually detest buffets. They are cringe worthy almost 100% of the time. But this place has a real upscale feel to it rather than rural sizzler off the interstate. Maybe it's the fact that the food really is creative. I had some kind of corn pudding that I'm literally in love with/experiencing withdrawal symptoms from. Yum.

Creativity is it! I was introduced to some really wonderful new foods here and I was able to come home an attempt to recreate them. It wasn't Boma but, I did okay..lol..

Being mindful, I am a vegetarian, I looked to recreate the butternut squash soup and the ginger carrot soup. I have also made my version of lentils with hearts of palm. Love...hearts of palm. I am a huge avocado fan and never had it with any other acid other than tomato, when I tasted it with the grapefruit, I was totally WOWED!

Oh great! I was a vegetarian for a long time and I try to eat as much vegetarian as possible because eating meat is not great for you. So I can appreciate that. I tried the ginger carrot soup while I was there. Divine! Now you made me crave something else. Also, avocados for president.

We tried Boma this trip down and enjoyed it a lot. Highly recomend the Zebra Domes and the other desert choices. There truelly is many flavors and selections to choose from. Everyone can find something there that they would like. Ohana's Dinner "bring to your table buffet" is really great too but the variety that Boma has is imense.

Ugh, I so want to eat there on our next trip but it just doesn't fit the schedule. Maybe we'll attempt a walk-up if we find the time to squeeze it in since we'll be there at a very quiet time of year. I'm with you guys -- I love Boma!

We tried Boma back in 2010. DD4 and I found several things we both really enjoyed...tiny thing that she is had a ton of these meatballs and I had this cilantro coucous that I loved. Sadly, everyone else = not fans :(
