Boma to AK bus question

Stupid question, I know, but we always seem to have this problem each time we go and I always forget to make a note of it.

We have an early breakfast at Boma, but what we have a problem with, using Disney buses is getting to AK park from there, since as far as we can remember, there is no bus that will take you directly from there to the park, you have to make a stop along the way and transfer, am I right?

So, my question is, can someone tell me exactly how we get from Boma to AK park? What bus(es) exactly do we need to take?

Thanks!

That is pretty much it. The only problem may be knowing which house to get off when going to Boma. You want Jambo house.

Per the thread title, I think they know where Boma is. It's knowing to look for the bus that says Animal Kingdom on it at the bus stop outside that's presenting a little bit of an issue ;).

I mean, they could try and ride a giraffe over to the park, but I don't think Disney has a charge for that yet... Fastpass may be in the works, but for now... they just have to catch the bus... which sometimes can be a safari within itself! :hilarious:

Well I couldn't really figure out how they had a problem getting from AKL to AK, but the OP knows they had an issue before. I thought it more likely they went to the wrong building going to AKL and had to find a way to the other building.

It is better to be overinformed than underinformed.

So if you have a friend that doesn't know where you live, but is leaving Walmart to come stop by, you tell him how to get to Walmart?

If they're trying to come to my house to buy milk, yes.

Ok, so said friend is ALREADY AT WALMART. He doesn't want to bring milk, he couldn't find common sense on sale either. He's leaving Walmart with neither item in his possession. He doesn't know where you live.... And you tell him how to get to Walmart....

Realize what's being said?

Just like giving that friend directions to the place they already are located, you're telling the OP how to get to their dining location that seemingly, THEY'VE BEEN TO BEFORE!

Here, I'll give you an even better example... there's a thread just like this here on the forum, you should read it sometime: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/boma-to-ak-bus-question.911376/#post-7130253 :cautious:

Your hypothetical questions are irrelevant. The OP had more context than just "how do I get to AK from AKL?". I shouldn't be insulted for trying to help.

The hypothetical is perfectly relevant. You're trying to tell someone how to get to the place they are starting from (which they already know where it is). So the feedback of getting off the bus at Jambo is irrelevant, since this is already common knowledge to the OP.

As for the OP's questions, let's take another look:

We have an early breakfast at Boma, but what we have a problem with, using Disney buses is getting to AK park from there, since as far as we can remember, there is no bus that will take you directly from there to the park, you have to make a stop along the way and transfer, am I right?

Yes, there is a bus, you just have to go out to the bus stop and get on (as pointed out by @mouse_luv )
So, my question is, can someone tell me exactly how we get from Boma to AK park? What bus(es) exactly do we need to take?

To this question we again answered via @mouse_luv to go out and get on the bus marked Animal Kingdom.

So as for context? There was nothing further than how to get to AK from Boma. It was introduced via your response of which house to get off at.... this, again, is a destination they know how to get to, and is irrelevant to the conversation.

How is telling someone to hop a bus from AK to AKL or vice versa even close to that Walmart scenario?? Someone is really confused, probably me.

also, AKL has monitors with when the bus will arrive and stuff, not like Moderates or Value resorts where you might watch 5 MK busses go by before the AK one shows up.

For the OP: There are direct buses to AK from AKL Jambo House. The only complication I can think of is that buses to any of the parks stop first at AKL Kidani Village first before coming to Jambo House. The exception being Disney Springs, buses going there stop at Jambo House before going to Kidani Village.

Basically, the person that commented was trying to tell the OP how to get to Boma. It honestly had nothing to do with the bus from AK to AKL at that point. That's where I brought in the Walmart scenario. Person is at Boma trying to get to AK. Scenario - Friend is leaving Walmart, you tell them how to get to Walmart.
