BoG Lunchtime Line - Standby vs. Fastpass

Hi all -
I've heard rumors of BoG fastpasses for lunch, but since our trip isn't until November, I don't necessarily expect that to still be going on or if it becomes widely available, we may not be able to get one. I was wondering if anyone that has been down there recently recalls how long the wait was for lunch without a fastpass, and anyone that has used them - was there a wait with that as well? Thanks!

Waited aprox. 30 minutes in standby last September. Well worth it, I preferred the lunch experience over dinner. At that time I think the fast passes for lunch were only available to overseas guests.

They will continue to do FP at BOG for the foreseeable future...haven't heard anything about it going away...I too am going in Nov and will def FP again like we did last year!

Te stand by wait was 45 minutes all the way wrapped back at Gastons Tavern!

Good to know about the fastpasses, as that would be ideal. We were there shortly after it opened and the line for lunch was over 2 hours, so we skipped it.

I'm also a little perplexed at how the line actually works, since most QS locations you just go to the counter and then go find your table - are they seating people as tables open up?

Not sure if it works the same now as it did back in Nov but we went to the FP stand, checked in, and then went to the front entrance of the restaurant. They scanned our bands again, and we were told to wait in a line inside. 5 minutes later they confirmed our order, paid, and gave us a rose. We were able to choose wherever we wanted to sit, and about 5 minutes after finding a table and getting drinks, our food arrived!

When we were there in September, the wait time for the line at noon was over an hour. We had fast passes and literally walked right in. I've done lunch and dinner there and prefer dinner. Ultimately, I have other places I prefer for lunch food-wise if we're doing CS, but the BOG setting is super cool and worth the visit IF and only IF (IMO) the line is short or you have a fast pass.

I'm going to try my darndest to get a FP for July, if not I'll cross my fingers for the standby line. Probably for a Thursday or Friday.

Start trying to log in to the website at about a month out. If it says "no times available" for any of your days when you first log in, try the next day and the next. There for a while they were releasing days a day at a time, but it's starting to look more random again from what I've seen others post.

We did FP+, Stand by was almost 2 hours last month. After doing BoG I'm not overly impressed. Very noisy, the condiment/beverage station wasn't replenished. Nice rooms but I've had better food at Sunshine Seasons. We did it to say we did it. Good place to hide from the rain though once you are in the inside stand by queue. Ordering food at the kiosk did work well with magic band/DDP.

My experience is with BOG FP+, once you've set up your account (need a resort reservation number to do so), you cannot always get it to work. I got an e-mail to make a FP+ for lunch the day we showed up at Disney last month. Oh, well.
