So I made a fatal mistake by not booking BOG at the 180 day mark because our travel plans were not finalized an we thought wewere going much later in August.
Now I cant get an ADR and I check online constantly!
It's the one restaurant my daughter wants to go to.
My question is...is there a better chance calling Disney than looking online? I will take any of the 7 days between 8/8/thru 8/14!

It's all personal preference. I prefer the website b/c it's far more practical to check non-stop all day vs. calling all day. It sounds crazy, but I've stalked the website as many as 100+ times per day for hard to get ADRs. Ultimately, the reps on the phone are using the same exact system, so what they see is what you see.

You're best luck should come in the last 45 days leading up to your trip...especially those last few weeks. This is when people canceling their trips or finalizing their plans will often cancel their excess bookings. Good luck!

Check online AND call. ITA with above advice. A lot of people cancel at the 45 day mark because they know they can't afford to go...so don't give up! Keep checking!

If your daughter would be very disappointed to not go there, you could always visit for lunch.

Best of luck!

Also check while you are down there for cancellations.

But something is up with BoG and Disney isn't saying. There seems to be a freeze on guests trying to book when the 180 day window opens. It does fill fast but it doesn't fill that fast so something is funky. We were chatting and wondering if there are changes in store for BoG because of its popularity. Could it be going all TS? Could it be going TS and Signature? Or could it just be coming down for a scheduled mini rehab?

Don't know but something is up with the ADRs because when you try and book as soon as the window opens it states not available. Hmpf.

For some reason they do seem to have some sort of freeze on bog reservations! We did make ours back in November for our trip at the 180 day with no problems. However, as time passed we added a member to our group and had to call to update all our resos. The only one we could not change was BOG! The lady said that the reservations for BOG were frozen and that the system wouldn't even allow her to change anything whatsoever with the reso??? She told us definatly do not cancel and to try to show up a little early. Essentially we really just need room to squeeze in a high chair!y DW said she didn't care if the baby had to sit in her lap, we would do anything to keep it!

Calling is always better keep checking for cancellations.... But if you have to try walk up for lunch... Not quite the same but pretty close :)

They are both correct! I would call every day the last week or so might also be a lucky time as they require a cc hold and people tend to cancel them about a week to 48 hours before if they won't use them so they don't get charged! Good Luck!

Hope you get in. It was really nice inside and the food for Dinner was really good. The Chimey Blu was excellent as well when combo'd with my steak.

When we were there at thanksgiving and Christmas they were turning every walk up away. During valentines week, they were taking some limited walk ups early ( we checked in for a 530 ADR). They were telling groups that if they had no more than 4 including infants that could wait, but they needed to stay on the bridge and the wait may be 60 minutes or more. Some waited, and some didn't. Even with the choice, some people were still nasty. I hope you get it. We have been there three times and it has been great each time. Good luck
