BOG for Lunch and Dinner?

We have an ADR for dinner at BOG during our upcoming trip, but we are trying to decide if we want to also try and do the counter service lunch on a different day in the MK. Has anyone done both, and can you recommend if it's worth the wait for lunch if we're going to see it for dinner? I hear it's a different experience, but not sure if it's enough to justify the time. Thanks!

We did lunch and dinner last Tuesday. When we got in line, the end of the line was right at the end of the bridge and it took it us about 20-25mins from getting in line to getting our food. Not too bad. I think we got in line between 11 and 12.

At lunch you can sit wherever you want while at Dinner it's up to the Cast Members. So for lunch we sat in the West Wing while for dinner we got seated at the circular table right under the center chandelier.

There's some lunch items we wanted to try to that's also why we did the lunch. Other than how you order at lunch, not having a waiter, and getting refills yourself at the self-service counter, the overall experience isn't that much different come dinner time.

Though at dinner you can also take photos with Beast after your meal in the Study (the room where you order at Lunch).

I've done both and it was definitely worth it!

It's completely different high quality food for both meals. The only repetition is your choice of desserts but I got strawberry cupcake for lunch and chocolate cream puff for dinner.

If you sit in the west wing for lunch and then the ballroom for dinner it will be completely different.

We got in line on a slow MK day at 10:45 and had food by 11:10 :)

Thanks for the input! I think we're going to try and do lunch as well as dinner, but we'll see what the crowds look like for that day and play it by ear. If it looks like more than a 20 minute wait, we'll probably bail.
