BOG Breakfast

So my family and I will be heading down in May and our first day at MK will begin at BOG for Breakfast prior to the park opening.

Has anyone else done this and was it worth the AD? Pretty great that the Breakfast is a quick service meal and I have never entered the park before opening. Also I hope the food is as good as the quick service lunch and the table service dinner. We have always enjoyed the dinner as some of the best table service food other than a signature dining restaurant.

Thanks!

AD?

If you are asking about price, breakfast is a good deal on the dining plan. However since the cost increase to $24 (and it is unclear if a beverage is still included), I would say lunch is a better value (is a croissant donut for breakfast worth that much :greedy:?)

However, we have eaten breakfast twice (once on DDP and once cash...when it was $19 and included beverage) and we enjoyed our food. The Eggs Florentine and Open Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich were delicious. The pastry tray was just meh...nothing special.

We had an 8:05 ADR both times and were finished by 8:45. 7DMT was already operating, so we snagged a ride before the general public arrived. :)

We think it's worth it for the early entry...Main Street is a different world before park opening. As for the value, it's great for our QS credits. We still like the food at lunch better than breakfast, but we're also not truly breakfast people. But we'd rank our food experiences like this:
1. Open-Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich
2. Assorted Cured Meats and Cheese
3. Croissant Doughnut - definitely better hot and fresh at Refreshment Port. And call me plain, but I liked it plain. :p
4. Eggs Florentine - Disney scrambled eggs aren't our fave...

I just had the most interesting experience with an ADR to BOG. I leave tomorrow for a long weekend trip to WDW, and I THOUGHT I had booked a Sunday morning (8am) ADR to BOG. Imagine my horror when I found out this morning that I'd actually booked SATURDAY morning at 8am, and I won't even be in town yet! I tried to rebook, but could only get 9:45am at BOG, which was too late. So I canceled my Saturday ADR at BOG and booked breakfast at the Kona Café instead for Sunday morning at 7:30am. Go with the flow, right?

Well, I just logged back into the ADR system just for the heck of it, and found to my great glee that there was now a rez available for BOG for Sunday morning at 8:10am!!! I of course booked instantly. Moral of the story - keep on trying. If you miss out on the 180 day thing, keep trying. I got this ADR on a busy weekend and only about 40 hours out - very very cool!!!
