Boat from POFQ to Beach Club? Help me settle a debate...

The last time we traveled to WDW with my parents (in 2012) my father swears that he and my mother took a boat from POFQ to the Beach Club. I have sworn up and down that this isn't possible.
Can anyone prove me right or wrong?

Not possible. POR/POFQ boats only pass Saratoga on their way to DTD.

YC/BC, Boardwalk & Swan/Dolphin share a boat loop with Epcot and DHS.

Would be impossible, the waterways don't connect up. check Google Maps.

You can go from Port Orleans to Disney Springs by boat.
Boats also go Epcot - Beach Club - boardwalk - Swolphin - DHS.

That is exactly what I thought! We were looking at a Google map too, but it was on my iPhone so it was small. And he still didn't believe me.

Give the guy a break. Hes dad... he can remember it any way he wants to. When you get old and senile you can remember things any way you want to.

Give dad a break. Slightly related - I can't count how many people have sworn up and down to me that at some point they rode a monorail straight from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom or one of the monorail resorts without switching at the TTC.

As others have said, it is not possible.

Your dad however might be mixing up the Beach Club with either Old Key West or Saratoga Springs. While you can not get a boat directly to either of those resorts from PORS, you could take a boat from PORS to DTD and from there take a boat to either resort.

Long, hot days at WDW can cause lots of delusions and mis-memories, even in the sharpest minds. Especially if you don't visit often, because it's a big place.

Those bodies of water do not connect.

Beach Club (Middle left of map) is on its own set of lakes that connect Epcot and DHS.

POFQ (upper right of map) is on the Sassagoula River which does not connect to the aforementioned lakes. It does run boat service to DTD (further east and not on the map).
