Can you still travel between Epcot and Disney Studios via boat?

If so, does anyone know how long this trip takes?

Does the boat stop at different resorts along the way or is it direct route?

Thanks!

Yes you can. It's a slow relaxing ride that stops at the Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Swan/Dolphin first, so it takes about 45 minutes or so.

Thanks for your reply.

Is the trip the same whether travelling from Epcot to DS or DS to Epcot? In other words, if you leave Epcot and stop at Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Swan/Dolphin before going to DS, then does the boat go directly from DS back to Epcot or does it stop at all the resorts again?

I can't help you on that. We just rode it from Epcot to MGM in May. I'm sure others will chime in soon though. When are you going?

We usually take the boat from DS to Epcot. We are usually looking for a break at that time, so the 30-45 minute ride that stops at all the resorts along the way is a refresing break in the day for us.

Thanks everyone. We'll probably use the boat at least once during our trip. However, if we're running late and need to get from Epcot to DS (or vice versa) for a dinner reservation, how long would the trip be by bus?

Relaxing boatride

I stayed at the Yacht Club last year, so we took the boat everyday. In my experience it takes about half an hour between Disney Studios and the World Showcase at Epcot. It stops at Swan, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk along the way (and back). Seats were almost always available, and the "Captain" and his/her crew are interesting to talk to. Many of them are older, and on their second careers. One Captain used to run factories on the east coast, and was very interesting. Sit near the front. We also had a younger crew member one night who sang and told jokes. Find that on a bus.

I know not how it compares to buses, but if your dinner reservation is in the World Showcase, the boat is probably faster because it drops you off at the International Gateway between the United Kingdom and France. Less walking. More fun. More unique. More relaxing.

Well, there's a bus that runs from the entrance of each park to the other one. But the timing of the buses can be a bit fickle. From running the WDW Great Race every December, I can safely say that *the* fastest and most reliable way to get from the Studios to Epcot (and vice versa) is to walk. There's a pathway that follows the waterway, and passes alongside the Boardwalk. If you want to stick entirely to walkways and don't want to cut across lawns  the best way would be to cut through the main pool area at the Boardwalk to get from one side of the Boardwalk to the other.

The walk from Studios turnstile to Epcot's International Gateway turnstile is about 1.1 miles.
