I stayed there December 2005:xmas: . Like ConstanceIrene asked - anything in particular you're interested in hearing about?

i was told that sometimes its not clean. How does it work with the housekeeping, they said I only get it once during my 5 night stay since i am renting points??? are the pools heated? what are some of the good rooms?
Just pretty much wondering if people liked it enough to stay there again.

We've stayed at the BWV 4 times and booked 6-8 different studios. We book standard studios for ourselves and preferred for my mom. I've never felt that any of them were unclean.

You won't receive full housekeeping like you would in a regular resort room. During a 5 night stay you should receive "trash and towel" service once. Housekeeping will replenish your supply of coffee, plates, glasses, and such in the mini-kitchen, bring in fresh towels, and empty the trash. You can always take your bag to the trash room if you accumulate a large amount.

The pool is not heated, but you'll have so much fun on the 200 ft. water slide that it won't matter. Besides, there is an outdoor jaccuzi right next to the pool.

I prefer an upper floor room, near the elevator, but that's me. It really won't matter.

There are so many other pluses to the BWV, I'd sound like an ad if I listed them here. Either PM me or ask another, specific, question and I'll try to help. To see a 360 degree tour of a room, go to www.disneyvacationclub.com and have a look at the different rooms available.

The room (studio, smoking) was clean. Only one issue. They didn't empty the garbage under the sink in the "kitchenette" area, nor under the sink in the bathroom.

Since it was a smoking room, the garbage was full of stale ashes so it didn't smell very nice. I simply took the garbage out and put it outside by the door. It was fine after that. I could have called to let them know, but I was only there for 3 nights and I wasn't going to get upset about something like that.

My only complaint was after I called (and went to the desk) to let them know we had no batteries for the TV remote and being told that it would be taken care of, it never was for the whole vacation. I guess the folks before us needed them for their camera *shrug*

All in all though, it was a very pleasant experience. I only wish they had the newer more comfortable pull-out couches like the do at Saratoga.

I never did make it to the pool - it was too cool, so I didn't notice it wasn't heated. I hadn't heard that before ConstanceIrene's post - but something to consider, I suppose.

There's a Villa, 2 bedroom or 1 bedroom suite depending, that has 1 large balcony right above the brewery, i believe on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Beautiful views of the lagoon and boardwalk, and my family just happened to get this suite. The desk/DVC said that this can't be requested, so it's a matter of luck, but it sure is an amazing room!

The Boardwalk Villas are amazing, we have always had an amazing level of staff attention and time given towards us for just being their and being nice lol the rooms were always clean and to a high standard, its easy to empty your own bins and thats the whole point of staying in the villas and not the hotel, disney gives you a bit of extra space when it compares to your personal space and stuff! Theirs a great shop downstairs which sells anything you need, maybe slightly more expensive but it is there for you!(their is also a msall resort off the lobby to the villa side) Their is also a petrol staion just two minutes walk away which also sells everything you need which is cheaper to! The boardwalk complex itself is an amazing place to stay, theirs loads to do for all ages nearly all the time and theirs plenty to do a small walk away! If your luck enough to get a lagoon view room you can see some of the epcot fireworks at night! always an excellent expericance and looking forward to going back in june!:king:

How hard is it to rent points and how do you think availability will be in July? We would need 2 studios, adjoining if at all possible. One stay would be for 12 nights the other studio would be for 7 nights. Both would include one weekend stay.

I'm looking into the 2 BR Boardwalk Villas for a stay with my extended family. It'd be me, my husband and our daughter, my sister, her husband and their son and my parents. I've read it's on the smaller side and I'm wondering just how comfortable those sleeper sofas really are. The area looks so great and being able to walk to Epcot is such a bonus, but then I look at the Old Key West, being slightly less expensive, but much larger and with more actual beds.

Have any of you actually known folks to have 8 people in one of the 2BR villas and was it too crowded? Or if you've been to both, was the smaller unit, higher price and sleeper sofa a worthy trade off for the atmosphere and proximity?

I was there in Jan. in a 1 bedroom with 5 of us and we were fine(blow up bed for 4 year old daughter).

The 2 bedroom is 1200 sq ft, comes with a King size bed, two queen size beds in the lockoff, plus a queen size pullout. My PIL slept on the pullout and had now problem with it. I offered to have an egg crate brought to the room, but they said they were fine.

OKW is bigger, but I'm pretty sure the amount of beds is the same. I'm a big fan of the Epcot area and always go to Epcot 3 times and the Studios twice on each trip. Walking or boating to those parks is a great benefit, plus you have the Boardwalk entertainment, food, nightly fireworks at Epcot that just puts the icing on the cake.

We stayed in there in 1999 and had a villa over looking Epcot. In the red section (with the semi circle facade). We had a 1 bedroom and a studio that was connected. We loved it and there were 7 of us. The studios do not have a full kitchen, only sink, refrigerator, coffee and microwave.

We stay here nearly every year and we love it. We're actually checking in on Thursday, I can't wait. You really can't beat the location and there is plenty of entertainment and good food right on the boardwalk itself. I highly reccommend it.

That's good to know. Something I had read said that studios at the Boardwalk Resort, which are basically the 2nd bedroom in a two bedroom villa, have a queen sized bed and a queen sleeper sofa. It'd be no contest if the studio part of the 2 bedroom had two queen beds.

Go to www.disneyvacationclub.com You can view a 360 degree tour of any DVC accomodation. That should help.

just returned!!

Hi all !!!!

Just returned from bwv last saturday. we had a blast. it was my dh & ds first time. resort was great. plenty of room. Only one complaint, when we were checking out on Friday morning, the bell hop rushed us so much, he left a bag on the floor. It wouldn't have been so bad if it had clothing in it, but of course it was all toiletries. We didn't realize it was missing until we got to lake city, fl. we checked into another hotel to cut the drive in half. we had no personal items. hence, we had to go to wally world ( which we hate ). Then when I called, it took the 1 1/2 hours to find the bag. :brick: I told them just to check the room, but eventually it was found. all they offered was to send it home to me regular mail. it was their fault it was left. I had to pay 38 dollars for fed ex. just kinda ticked me off ya know?? other than that, the trip was great. we would definately go back.
