Boardwalk Villas vs. Beach Club Villas???

Hi--we're heading to WDW in November on a Land/Cruise deal--however, we are booking the land seperate to have more options. We have only been to Disney once and stayed at Carribean Beach. We want more space and so we can put our little one to sleep while the rest of us are still up (ages 2 and9)

We are debating between the Boardwalk Villas and the Beach Club Villas and weren't sure of the pros and cons of both. Any thoughts?

Beach Club Villas are closer to the back gate of Epcot and you are closer to Beaches & Cream ice cream shop. The Storm along Bay pool is totally awesome at Beach Club and you're 9 yr. old will love it.

My family and I are staying at the Boardwalk for Spring Break. We stayed at the Beach Club Villas in July were really unimpressed. The pool was amazing, and the walk to Epcot is certainly convenient, but we had a lot of problems. Our room wasn't ready until after 4 PM, the boat transportation to MGM was bad because the boats filled up at the Boardwalk first, the cleaning staff was awful and actually knocked on our door at 8:30 am the morning we were leaving to see if we were ready to leave yet so they could clean the room. They only delivered 2 towels one of the days of our towel package, and the sofa bed was about as comfortable as a bed of nails and sank in the middle so me and my sister were on top of each other every night. Hopefully we'll have better luck at the Boardwalk because this has been the only time we've ever had a problem at any of the Vacation Club resorts, or any of the Disney resorts in general.

I've only stayed at the Beach Club and Boardwalk regular rooms but I prefer the Boardwalk. The slide at the Boardwalk pool is much more fun, and the Villas at the Boardwalk are closer to the Disney Studios than all the others when walking.

We stayed at Boardwalk Villas last year and was very nice. I'm sure the Beach Club Villas are the same is quality. Here are a couple things to help distinguish between them:

Beach Club Villas:
- 5 minute walk to Epcot
- 20 minute walk to MGM
- great pool/water area with sand bottom pool & slide
- 1 resort per bus to other parks

Boardwalk Villas:
- 10 minute walk to Epcot
- 15 minute walk to MGM (quicker than boats)
- nice pool with water slide
- all of the Boardwalk restaurants/shops are at the resort
- 3 resorts per bus to other parks (their buses have stops at Dolphin & Swan, so they get packed and is rough on trips home from the parks when 3 times as many people trying to get 1 bus) :veryconfu

The rooms are identical at each resort, some of the villas at Boardwalk can be a long walk to lobby. We stayed at both resorts 4 or 5 times each and give slight nod to BC. because of EPCOT location. Have an awesome trip!!

Never stayed at Boardwalk but have stayed at BCV recently...very nice. Personally, I don't think you can really go wrong either way, but BCV *is* as others have mentioned a bit closer to Epcot if that is important to you. Also, you can indeed use the Stormalong Bay pool at YC/BC as a guest at BCV (we got the wristbands and everything so I know it was "legit" and not considered "pool hopping!" Or at least it wasn't then!)

Also, we did a Land & Sea package almost exactly a year ago. The cruise line is awesome!
