It has been way too long since I have stayed at the boardwalk. Last time I was there I was about 12. Does anyone have any good tips and neat little things that I should know?

If you are at the main pool and are looking to have a snack or even a meal consider going to Boardwalk To Go,Pizza Window or the Boardwalk Bakery since the items offered at Leaping Horse Libations is limited.

You can get to DHS much faster by just taking the trail behind the resort and you can skip going around JellyRolls and just enter the path by the main feature pool and other areas along the back side of the resort.

If you are going to play the Midway games make sure to try the Lobster Pot Slam, you seem to have better chances at winning!

One of the best stores in the World is right down along the boardwalk (Screen Door) So if you forgot to pick something up at the parks you more than likely will find it here.

If you have not been to JellyRolls you need to drop everything and go you wont be disappointed!

I really meant to go to JellyRolls on my honeymoon but we just didn't get the chance. Most definitely trying to go there this time.

I had never passed through JellyRolls doors until my last trip where I celebrated my birthday with a friend whom I met for the first time from this forum @abeachchick and my best friend. At first I wasn't interested in going since I have been to Piano bars around the country some different than others and figured I would have the same experience, but once we got in, had a drink (or more), and took in the place we had a great time and it certainly made my birthday all the better (even though I was forced to go on stage and make a fool of myself)! Seriously I'm betting you will have a wonderful time!

As said, and to reiterate, to get to MGM, cut through the main pool to the canal on the side. It shaves off close to 10 minutes. And you can grab a drink to/from the park at Leaping Horse on your way.

Don't forget the quiet pool in the back of the Resort near the rose gardens...another uber peaceful spot!

Yes walking to the parks is much better. I do take the boats from time to time but the walk is great especially first thing in the morning.

Get up early in the morning as the sun comes up and drink coffee on the boardwalk. It's beautiful. Oh and ride a surrey bike. The Boardwalk bakery has some good food options.

I agree! I'm not a big coffee drinker but the bakery there has this exclusive brew called "Boardwalk Blend" that is the most amazing thing I've ever tasted! I wish they sold take-home bags of the grounds, I'd buy it in bulk!

If you have time at night to just relax and unwind, take a walk around the whole loop. It's beautiful at night, especially when you have a view of the Boardwalk from the other side. We would end our nights like that often.

Ditto on the Boardwalk Bakery suggestions too. We usually started our morning there for breakfast. It was remodeled last year and is larger now. They have good desserts. They've custom made a few cakes for us for special occasions and we've never been disappointed. It's one of our favorite things about staying at the BW!

I am really looking forward to trying all of these suggestions. I'm dissapointed Kouzzina is going to be closed when we go and a new restaurant probably won't be open in February if they do put a new one in there?

Then I'm glad I shared Crew's Cup with you because with one restaurant down in the Crescent Lake resorts, things may get busier than usual.

Are you able to request turndown service if you're not club level? I was able to last year at the Yacht Club and just tipped the maid at the end of the stay.

Nighttime entertainment is great! I wish I could remember the one entertainer/magician's name, but if you get a chance, just watch the random live entertainment. My DS loved it so much, he waited for a picture with the guy. He was even taught an impromptu magic trick!

Such a great place to stay... Even just sitting in the lobby, brings you back to he turn on the century (the last one ;) ).

Boardwalk is on our bucket list of resorts, two questions, where do you get coffee in the early am as I'm an early riser and which side is slightly quieter (son is rather sensitive to noise but will love all the lights-yeah it's an interesting issue!)
