Boardwalk Inn Rooms

Hi -

Again, thanks to all the members of this board for great information on Disney World. Another question -- Since the Boardwalk area is undergoing rehab until the end of the year - I need some help on what type of room to request. Again, I will be staying with my grandmother (83 years old by September - she is fairly mobile, but will probably use a wheel chair.) Also, I would like something fairly quiet, but near the transportation. I have booked a standard room for 7 nights. Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Try contacting the resort direct and explaining the situation to them, they are usually very helpful and will do their best to give you something suitable

thats tough since the bus stops are near the construction area. I agree with Steve about you should call the resort and explain your situation, and they will help the best they can.

The bus stop is near the front entrance and the only good way to get to it is through the lobby (construction or not). I would maybe ask for a room not too far from the elevators.

I spoke with the BoardWalk about two months ago and I was told that construction would be wrapping up this month. Is construction still in full swing? Is there scaffolding covering the place or what should I expect -- I'm going the last weekend in April.

Thanks!
