We will be going to WDW from 10/30 to 11/4 and staying at the BW. This is our first time there, normally we stay at the Poly or the WL. Can someone please tell me their opinion. Is there anyplace to get a quick breakfast? What are the rooms like? How far is the walk to Epcot? Any info is greatly appreciated!!

We stayed the other summer and while the rooms are nice, as is the location we won't be going back. There is a sterility to the place we just didn't like, we
really like the WL better. The rooms are more in line with the Poly than the WL in size and nicely decorated. It's located close to Epcot and the Studios and is a short walk or boatride away . You can also walk around the lake to the Yacht & Beach Club and the restaurants there (love Cape May and the Yachtsman Steakhouse).

They served a continental breakfast in the lounge, but we ate at Spoodles for breakfast most days. That is another reason we won't be going back, my family really didn't care for the food offerings there and the fact that the kids had to go out onto the boardwalk for drink refills and snacks.
The bus transportation had some real issues too and thats another reason we won't be going back. The five area resorts all shared the bus service and many times they were so crowded you had to wait for a few to go by before you could get on. They may have changed that by now though, I know a lot of people complained.

They do have a great pool/slide for the kids and even though we were on the top floor above the Flying Fish, it was never noisy and the view was very nice. I know a lot of people love this resort (thats one reason we tried it), but its just not for my family.

We love staying Boardwalk. You really feel like your in the center or "it" all there. Lot's of great places to eat, things to do and see, easy access to EPCOT and Studios, etc. We have stayed there a few times and have run into bus issues on occasion. We aren't breakfast eaters, so we just head straight to the parks and snack there.

As far as the pool, they have 2....the quiet pool and the family pool that has a horrific scary clown at the water slide. I know it's intended to look like an old roller coaster, but that clown is not something you want to see first thing in the morning.

Location overall was great. Dining options around the entire lagoon and at Boardwalk was great (we love Spoodles), and we find the resort very relaxing.

We stayed At BW last year late October. Had a great time @ the Halloween party on the 31st:sohappy: . Rooms are nice, could use a little refurbing. We had a water veiw, overlooked Cresent Lake and was beautiful (watched street performers at night). The Keister Coaster was a blast, pool never really packed. Restaurants were good, not much by the way of "fast food". Flying Fish is our favorite (even the 4 year old loved it):slurp: . You can't beat the location!!! I didnt' think it was "sterile" at all. Our family really enjoyed it, and would definately recommend it to anyone. I'm jealous, 104 more days for us. Have a great time!-Pam
