Boardwalk Entertainment

Hello All,

I will be at WDW pretty soon with my family, wife and 8 year old son, and we have decided to spend one evening at the Boardwalk as we will be staying at the nearby Yacht Club and since we have never step foot at the Boardwalk. I would like to know any recommendations on things to do, things to see, and places to eat. I heard that there is sometimes entertainment out around Boardwalk, is this true ? and if so what and usually when ? Also looking for general tips, reviews, recommendations, and information.

Thanks in advance for all your help,

When we stay at BC we like to walk over and spend some time on the Boardwalk but I don't think there is enough entertainment to keep you busy for an entire evening. If you are planning on eating at one of the restaurants it is nice to allow a little extra time to walk around and see things and do a little shopping. One trip we played the water gun/balloon game just for fun so the little girl playing would get a bigger prize with more players when she won. It's nice but I don't think a trip to the boardwalk will replace an night at one of the parks.

Be sure to watch the juggler...usually near the bakery...then watch the magician...usually near the general store...both pick children from the audience to participate. We like to dine at the ESPN Club.

Thanks for all the info. My plan was to dine at one of the restaurants and then walk around and look through the shops and entertainment. Do you have any recommendations on restaurants? I was thinking Fliying Fish , I think that's what it's called, because it's the one I hear most mentioned as being good

Thank you for the locations of the performers. That is very helpful. Do you know what days and times they perform , I plan to be at the boardwalk on a Saturday evening.

Flying Fish is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. It's a great laid back atmosphere and I have never had a bad meal there. Their potato-wrapped red snapper is divine. I'm back in December and this is the one place my mother requested we make a reservation for.

There is usually not a set schedule, they are out starting at around dusk and perform into the evening. There will be entertainment on a Saturday night. (And if it is raining, they perform in the Boardwalk lobby.)

The Boardwalk is charming. And by that I mean is cute and small. There are a couple food and drink booths, couple of games and performers. Weyland Gallery is close by if you're missing the Poly.
