You could walk there faster. Just take the walkway around the lake to the Yacht Club. It's also faster to walk to EPCOT, but we took the boat to the Studios.

We really didn't care for the Yachtsman's Steakhouse when we ate there last Dec. The ambience and service were average IMO and the food was no better than a low grade chain steakhouse (outback or texas roadhouse). I'd try to get reservations at Le Cellier as the walk from the boardwalk isn't that much further. Again just my opinion, not try to argue with anyone.

Of course, Le Cellier requires you use a park ticket to get into EPCOT so that may not work out for you.

We've had the opposite experiences with Yachtsman and Le Cellier. IMHO, my last few times at Le Cellier were at best, so so. (Elbow to elbow crowding, cool/cold soup, slow service, average to sub-par cut of steak). Le Cellier used to be our favorite, but the whole "Free Dining Plan" over crowded it and I don't think the location was designed to handle the volume they try to force through now.

With that, I recommend the Yachtsman over Le Cellier. Yachtsman was quieter as it's a higher-end location (and not in a park), and in our experiences was better quality with regards to food. There's a nice lounge next to the Yachtsman incase you arrive early.

But as we all know, my use of "so so" and "better" are my opinions. Either way, good luck & enjoy.

That is blasphemy!

Sorry you did not enjoy, but saying it is like Outback. :hammer:The Yachtsman in my opinion has the best steaks on property. Le Cellier wins for ambience, but not steak. Don't get me wrong, their steaks are really good. I have not tried Shula's Steakhouse.

Best steak I've ever had on property was the Kobe that we had on Valentine's 07 at V&A's. My wallet can't make that a habit though. To each his own, althogh I cringe whenever someone orders a well-done steak, why not just start chewing on your shoe?

Yachtsman > Outback. :brick:

We had a very nice dinner there, the steaks were melt in your mouth tender.
The service was very good and the desserts were yummy :slurp:
LeCellier was very nice as well, but the food tops the ambiance as far as I'm concerned. AND you would need to use a day's admission or have a hopper.

OK, maybe it was a little better than Outback, but not as good as Ruth's Chris or Mortons.

We have APs so I kind of forget about people being in the World without actually being able to go to a park when they want.

Same here.

We had a FANTASTIC room at the Yacht club last weekend...looked right at the lagoon, and at night the Boardwalk looked awesome!
