Blue Carpet Question

ok, i watch the disney channel every so often and i see they have premieres on High School Musical 2, New DVD release, or New Ride (eg, Nemo Ride) and i notice they say "Here on the 'blue carpet'."

ok here is my question? why the blue carpet? is there a back story on the Blue Carpet? Or is this Disney just trying to be different then Hollywood and pick a different color? Last question, why blue?

note: Sry if this was ask before, but i typed in blue carpet and i got like 4 pages of thread....uh...and I'm a lazy person

I didn't find anything of use, other than a reference to "the blue carpet" in a WDW awards post from 2003.

But I can help with search technique...

If you search for blue carpet you get everything that has the word blue and/or the word carpet anywhere in the thread [prioritized to the threads that have most occurrences of both, but still a lot...]. But if you put the two words into quotes and search for "blue carpet", you get four or five threads [including this one].

It was a blue carpet because water is blue. Watch HSM2 (if you dare) and you'll understand.

Yup blue for Nemo & HSM2 both because its for "water". Now if I could only figure out why they use a blue carpet on the pre show for the TNA Wrestling ppvs I would be all set. HSM2 isn't THAT bad so if you want to watch it go for it.
