May be an odd question, but does anyone know if the following Blu-ray titles are available in the parks and for how much?:

The Aristocats
Hocus Pocus
Newsies
Cinderella (feel free to bump thread in 2 weeks ;))

honestly, i would look at the disney store site and amazon.com they would be less expensive.

You'd think that but in Canada blu-ray discs are like books and can be priced up to 50% more than in the states* (even if the dollar is about par). Add taxes being double (13% vs. 6.5%) and it's often cheaper to buy in the states. Amazon.com charges relating to duty fees and shipping can easly raise the price dramatically so what sounds like a deal, turns out to be not. In short, if I can save money by buying in the "World", I'm interested. Especially if I don't really have the chance to visit a Wal-Mart or Target or something.

*Good example would be the Alice in Wonderland (1951) disc. $20 at BB US, $30 at BB CAD.

Aristocats is a recent Bluray release so I'm sure you'd be able to find it in World of Disney or even Once Upon a Toy. Cinderella hasn't been released yet, it was a preorder option at the Disney Store this weekend.

damn. i would take a cab to bb or target in the usa. disney world has some blue ray dvds, but not all. i would try world of disney. that is the only logical place that would have it since the virgin mega store closed. also check your hotel and the various giftshops themed to the movie.

Cinderella is being released in November, I think. The Aristocats just came out a couple weeks ago, so it should be there. I'm not sure about the other two.

better off getting Itunes and an apple tv...you would buy it once and be able to watch it on your hd tv in blu ray quality for life...no scratches

Cinderella is being released October 2nd, while the other two have already been released.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Definetly Amazon for those. I only buy things in the parks that you tend not to be able to get other places.

Got Cinderella and The Avengers for $27.99 each. About the same as back home, but with the lower taxes saved maybe a couple of $. Cindy came with free CD. Aristocats was there and same price, but decided to spend the money on other things.

DEFINITELY get a taxi or something and go to Target/Walmart for them. You're going to pay OUTRAGEOUS prices at the parks or DTD. You'll spent about $20 at Walmart/Target.

The price for Cinderella (2-disc combo pack) on Target's website before I left was $28.19, not really any different. Aristocats wasn't any better. The price varies from title to title and what coupons from DMR are offered.

I know we bought The Avengers at Target last week for $19.99 and it was the 100-disk edition with blu-ray, dvd, digital copy, soundtrack, 3d blu-ray, and some bonus Target only disk. It was a good deal.
