Any chance you could show us an example?
I am well aware of screens flickering when being recorded, but I found a video with less flicker that shows the chopiness of the image on the screen:That is most likely caused by the difference in scanning frequency between the projection and the camera. No matter how good or bad a camera is, if the camera is recording at a different frame rate then what is being projected you will see a flicker.
More detail on this can be found here.

While I've never been on Dreamflight, I will say that their projection quality appeared to be the best of any ride that inhabited that pavilion. The issue is that it's no longer Dream Flight.

The DL version is far superior, I agree 100%. Upgrading to DLR spec would be a simple (cheap) way to really get some more mileage out of it. Buzz is already last year's version of Toy Story. The least they could do is clean it, paint it, and upgrade the guns to keep the concept fresh. Also the spinning red lighting in the tunnel before this seems to have been out for a while. Honestly, this ride is garbage and not needed with Toy Story Mania (now getting doubled in size). I'd love to see this space used for something else.
I hate that it never was at least upgraded to be like DLR's version. The ability to hold the guns, better animated targets, and LEDs to let you know when you hit targets makes all the difference. I've honestly never really figured out if you're supposed to hit the direct center of the targets or anywhere on the targets, because the hits don't register half the time anyway.
