Blow dryers at Poly?

Hi All--

Please no flames, I did a search here for both "hair dryers at Polynesian" and "blow dryers at Polynesian" and they both came up with no matches found. (Sometimes I'm afraid to ask a question because so many people here get mad if it's a duplicate post!)

All I want to know if there are blow dryers in every room at the Poly????

I do not know for a fact every room, but when we were there in Dec 2001 there was one in our room.

If you are very concerned (don't want to pack one, but don't want to be with out.) calll the frount desk and ask. I would think WDW being as it is to help guests, if your room doesn't have one, you can get one with a request.

One caveat about the hair dryers.

They will dry your hair

They will not style your hair.

They are not hot enough, nor is the nozzle small enough to concentrate the air flow. You won't be able to get the kind of styling that you are used to at home.

Personally, I don't bother too much with styling my hair. After an hour of Florida humidity, the "Mountains" rollercoasters, and the inevitable rain shower, my hair is trashed anyway.

There are lots of great hats.....

Well all I want is DRY hair. I'm not interested in going out at night when it's 50 degrees with wet hair and be freezing.

There should be hair dryers in every room. if not just call the desk and they will get one to you.

If you were thinking about packing one...I'm glad I cought you in time. There is no reason to bring a hair dryer to any Disney resort. Even though they may not be in the room, the front desk will always bring you one if you ask.

I have stayed at the Contemp and there was one in every room we stayed in. As mentioned before, if it's not in the room, they will bring you one. Have a great trip.:wave:
