Blizzard Beach vs Typhoon Lagoon

Heading for the great escape.
Blizzard Beach has the best slides but the pool is too small. TL has the best pool and lazy river, and the better cocktail bar.

I think Blizzard Beach is a really cool and fun concept, but I find Typhoon Lagoon more pleasant as the tropical theme is just more relaxing. Personally if I had to choose one it would be Typhoon Lagoon.

Haven't done Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoon is by far the best water park I have ever been to. The lazy river is phenomenal, I mean I could literally do that all day. They have a good assortment of thrill slides and lesser thrill slides. Not to mention the wave pool is epic. That wave, wow! I underestimated it and this 275lbs. man got knocked on his rear and had his sunglasses fly off his head. Lastly, Typhoon has theming that really makes you feel like you are on a tropical island. Typical Disney.

If your a slide fan, I suggest Blizzard Beach. The summet plummet is one of the best (and scariest) water rides I've ever been on. That being said, the pools them sleeves are small, but there are plenty of other rides.

That's a tough choice. I love them both for cool theming with TL edging out BB slightly. I love TL for the snorkeling experience, wave pool, and water coaster; BB we love for all the slides (we love both lazy rivers).
When we were last there we flew in on a red-eye and knew our room wouldn't be ready. We figured we would be too tired for a lot of lark touring that first day so we booked a cabana for that day at TL. We lazed about until mid-afternoon, napping and being catered too so we could be fully tested to hit the other parks later on. It made visiting that first day stress-free, not having to fight for for beach chairs in the shade, worrying about towels, beverages, etc because it was all included. Would totally do it again!

We have been to WDW 10 times, but never been to either water parks. We have never been big water park people, and the times we have been to others, we didn't enjoy it. Crowds are less tolerable when everyone is half naked.
I think we are about ready to try them out because Disney always does things at a higher level. We can at least appreciate the lazy river. I've done the math, and it's only a few bucks more than the park hopper ticket.

Ugh, this question makes me feel so torn. 
BB: I love the theme and the slides. Plus Winter Summerland.
TL: The wave pool is bliss...what else do you need?

But they have the water rollercoasters...so I'd have to say...Typhoon Lagoon.

Would agree with this 100%. As nice as BB is it feels different as all the 'snow effects' seems out of place. Not in a bad way, however to me the feel isn't as relaxing as TL as it feels more unusual and forced. Also I truly love treading water in the deep end of the pool at TL and riding the waves, can stay out there for a good 45 minutes just floating on my back
For the OP, if you've not tried BB then I highly recommend you do as it's a different experience, if you enjoyed TL then you'll certainly enjoy BB too even if not quite as much, or possibly more?

Typhoon Lagoon is the best! Atmosphere, lazy river, layout, slides, relaxation, food; it's all better at TL.
In fact, my 2nd place water park is Aquatica. I have been to Blizzard Beach, and while I appreciate the theming, I won't willingly go again.

It's been forever since I've been to TL, but it is very nice. While I'd say BB has the more unique story, I think I'll give the nod to TL as it just seems more "natural".

The question is are you traveling with small children. We like both parks but when my kids were little they loved the play area at blizzard beach with the iceberg crossing and the zip line and the small tube slide for kids all in 1 area. Plus my youngest (I think she was 5 or 6 at the time) made family fame by going down summit plummet and then guilting the rest of us into doing it. My father went after her at the age of 70. Good times!!!
