Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

I have a question.

I have been to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, and like both of them very much.

I am going to be bringing a youth group to WDW in August. I did this in 2001, and we went to Blizzard Beach. By 11:00 the park was totally jammed, lines for even the Cross Country Creek! It was very hard to enjoy the park until about 5:00.

Does anyone know if Typhoon Lagoon has smaller crowds due to the fact that it is an older and less spectacular park. If so, I would rather go to Typhoon Lagoon, as the kids would have a better time.

Any information that anyone could provide would be much appreciated.

I have been to both, but I spent my summer mostly at BB, so I voted for it. There will be crowds at both of them in August, maybe BB will be more crowded, but there are also more things to do there. Maybe if you don´t spend the whole day in there would help? I used to go around 3pm and the crowds were leaving already. Get the hopper that allows you a visit there so you don´t feel like you are using $25 or so dollars to enter for a few hours only. :animwink:

I love Typhoon Lagoon!!! The wave pool and shark reef are my favorite places in the park...even though the park is not as big and power-packed with rides i would take it anyday over Blizzard Beach!!!

Last trip to WDW I went to both BB and TL. I'd have to say that TL is much better.
