My daughters birthday is in March. But we are celebrating her birthday by going to Disney World in September. Is it ok for us to get her a birthday button?
Absolutely! Many people celebrate their birthday, anniversary, etc. whenever their trip is, regardless of when the actual date occurs. Stop by Guest Relations at your first park and let her wear it the whole trip!
You'll likely get lots of cast members wishing her a Happy Birthday, and she might get some extra surprises along the way.
You can get it Guest Relations, or if your staying on property you will probably get one at check in if you noted that this is her first time on your reservation...
Most definitely get those buttons. We celebrated my bday and DD5's bday w/our trip last summer. My bday was the week before the trip while her bday actually fell inside our trip dates. I tried to shift all of the focus onto her, especially on her actual bday, but the wonderful WDW CMs just love to lavish people w/bday attention. My personal fave...a staff member at Sunshine Seasons noticed her button as we were stopping for a few apples. She asked us to stay put and she'd be back with a surprise. She came back with a bunch of other Sunshine Seasons CMs- and they all had musical instruments. Nothing major, but they serenaded DD5 for her bday in front of the crowds of people building at Soarin'. It was just such a cool moment.
We are celebrating another bday this upcoming trip...the actual bday is about 9 days before we check in. She's being surprised with the trip on her bday, but we plan on the bulk of the celebration once we arrive at WDW. Now to decide if we go for my 40th next year.
You should definitely get her a button
I had one on my b-day two years ago and got happy birthday sung to me while in the Main Street confectionery by the barbershop quartet (not sure of their official name, but that's what i've always called them)
And then, a CM came out and gave me a chocolate dipped marshmallow treat!
The CMs love to make birthdays extra special!
Two years ago we went in between my kids' birthdays - and designated the first full day as my son's "birthday" and the last full day as my daughter's "birthday". He got so much attention that day he refused to take it off the next day. We basically had to pry it away from him so my daughter could have "her" day without him stealing her thunder.
