Birthday tiara!

So today is my 35th birthday. (yay!) But of course, being Wednesday, Love's got to work and stuff so we're heading out Saturday.

Well, I totally bought myself a sparkly tiara to wear at the park on Saturday. I think it will be fun to be a "Princess" for the day. And come on, where better than Disney to be silly, right?

I got the idea from seeing some ladies in the park wearing tiaras and birthday buttons. I thought it was totally cute and just a little touch of whimsy.

Anyone else ever do this? Love thinks I'm being a goof but come on...you gotta have fun with it!

Happy Birthday! I would have gotten you a gift, but, you know, we're strangers.
I have never worn a tiara to WDW, but I'm really more of a crown type of guy. I have, however, worn a mouthpiece that houses a small glowstick and makes the inside of my mouth shiny green all night long. Consider the source, but I say "wear the tiara in all of your mid-thirties glory".

hmmmm...kind of too bad you already got one. You could have gone to DD and picked up one from Arribas Bros. They are very cute. If we had planned our shopping day earlier in the trip myself and my 2 girlfriends may have gotten them, that way you get to be a princess in the parks AND it's a Disney souvenir.

Now why did I just get a mental picture of Amy Fara-Fowler on the episode when Sheldon gave her a tiara??

I say, GO FOR IT! Where else can you be a princess for a day and get away with it without being locked up?

I'll be cruising on the Magic for my 56th B-Day next year - looks like I need to add "tiara" to the cruise shopping list!

Happy Birthday and all the pixie dust you could ever wish for!

*chuckles* Thanks! I love the blinky toys and such too. It's just fun!

Yeah I saw those. In fact, last year I kinda mooned over them (which is what made me decide to actually get one this year) but they're pricey. Mine was like $10 on ebay. LOL

You are being a goof, lol...but no better place to do it!

You only live once. Be a goof. :)
Exactly! Thanks for the support. :D

 She was hysterical in the finale too wasn't she?

And exactly! I want to have fun and celebrate. It's been a long, hard, painful year with all the medical issues, major surgery and such so I just want to be silly and enjoy, you know?

Happy Birthday to you!!!

I think it is a wonderful idea! What little girl doesn't want to grow up to be a princess!

Enjoy your birthday!!

Happy Birthday and ABSOLUTELY wear your birthday tiara!

Here's me and my hubby on my 40th Birthday. We spent the day at Epcot.
You can't tell from the picture but my tiara said "Birthday Princess"
The next day I wore the tiara for the Princess 1/2 marathon. Best birthday EVER!

Do it! Where else can you wear a tiara with pride besides WDW? I am guilty of putting on my wedding tiara when I'm getting a bubble bath, or cleaning my house, etc. It makes me feel pretty, and nobody else is around to say anything. :D

Exactly! And I think I had a sufficiently crappy enough year that I deserve to celebrate in style! I love the idea of wearing it just around the house to feel pretty too. That's fantastic!

Go for the tiara! My wife always finds an excuse to wear one.

Of course, I've told her that just because she spends money like a princess, it doesn't make her a real princess...:brick:

Have not done the Tiara, as I am a guy but a Big Birthday cake hat with falshing candles yes!
No pleace like Disney to Celebrate your Birthday. Spent my 40th there this year and was totally spoiled to the point I thought I was on extreme makeover.

Have a great time !

Hey, a tiara might be reserved compared to those big blinking hats! (Though the hats look terribly fun too! :D )

Where else but Disney can you just let go and have huge amounts of silly fun? Looking forward to it! :D

"OOOOHHHH ITS A TIARA! PUT IT ON ME! PUT IT ON ME! PUT IT ON ME! PUT IT ON ME!"
"You look beautiful Amy!"
"OF COURSE I DO BECAUSE I'M A PRINCESS AND THIS IS MY TIARA!"

Haha I love that scene. As far as the tiara, please wear it! I wish I was brave enough to do that so you will have to be brave for us both!

Happy birthday! :sohappy:

Ok, just have to say if you've ever wanted to wear a tiara for a special occasion (like a birthday) but were afraid to - DO IT! I had so much fun. Everyone loved it and complimented me on it from CM's to guests. :D

The CM who gave me my birthday button even put "Princess {name}" on the button and gave me a coupon for two free ice cream bars.

It was totally silly but I got such a kick out of it. And everyone else did too. I'm so glad I wore my princess-for-a-day tiara. Really made me feel extra special for my birthday. :sohappy:
