So during our upcoming trip, my mom will be celebrating her 50th birthday at EPCOT. Just wanted to ask around and see what you all know about special birthday moments that we can make sure she enjoys.

We’ve done a ton of family birthdays at WDW. Definitely get her a birthday pin and wear your I’m celebrating pin too.

I celebrated my 40h. We did lunch at Via Napoli. Pick a special meal for her.

Watched one of the last Majn St Electrical Parades. If she stays up late enough, illuminations would be nice.

Splurge for photopass and try to get a bunch of shots - if she’s into that. Get some prints or make a scrap book or photobook.

You can make more of the trip about her, not just her birthday. Anything special in the parks she likes? We did food & wine for me.

Was a little weird. I planned some of it myself, then hurricane Matthew headed our way and We had some extra days in Orlando. Just having the time for me was fantastic.

Make sure she gets a "Happy Birthday" button. Ask for it at your resort, Guest Relations, or Town Hall in the MK.

I'm glad you started this topic. I am taking my DW to celebrate her birthday and it will be our first trip during F&W. Is there anything that is a must do during this festival? Sorry OP for the hijacking.:)

At last years F&W festival my wife and I did "Highway in the Sky Dine Around" it was amazing!! Not part of F&W this year but it is running, just not part of F&W. Don't know when your going but if you can do it it is a good time. We are doing again this year in Sept.
As far ask the Festival "Mix it Make it" is fun, any of the wine or cheese tastings are good, Just depends on the dates your heading down as to what is available. Enjoy!!

Thanks. Via Napoli already planned, planning on surprising her there.

I was going to suggest a custom cake, but the Epcot bakery doesn’t deliver to Via Napoli. They do offer their own cake options. Not as exciting, but it’s something.

Tutto Italia & Via Napoli — 407-560-8040
  • 6-inch $23 cake in all-chocolate or all-vanilla
  • 8-inch $32 cake in tiramisu, chocolate mousse or strawberry shortcake
  • 10-inch $45 cake, same options as 8-inch
  • Larger cakes: $10/person
  • No screen prints available
