Birthday Cake?

Was looking for a little advise...Going to Cinderella's character breakfast for my DD's 8th birthday. Have a later P.S. at 9:45. Will they do anything for her birthday (i.e. cupcake, etc.)? Should I order a small cake and pretend it's a late brunch and not really breakfast? Or should I just do something back at the hotel later (i.e. Wilderness Lodge and Whispering Canyon for dinner)? Is Whispering Canyon o.k. for breakfast? :veryconfu

As tigsmom will surely state soon enough, Whispering Canyon is probably BEST at breakfast.:)

Personally, I'm not a fan of the restaurant's atmosphere. It can be a ton of fun, however, you must be up for a rowdy meal. The wait staff constantly pulls pranks on you throughout your dining experience. In turn, don't expect to eat a "peacful meal."

When you go and check in for the PS, let them know at that point. Chef Mickey's we received a signed placemat, Crystal Palace they had confetti and streamers on the table, plus a card signed by the Pooh Characters we received a cupcake with a candle at both meals. Also as Tigsmom suggested let the hotel staff know when checking in, my son received a personalized card signed from Mickey with an 8 x 10 picture of Mickey. It was my sons 8th birthday and he had a ball. Also do not forget to go to guest services at the parks and pick up a birthday button. At Epcot the staff and many folks in the queue area of Figment sang happy birthday to him.

You can go to www.disneyflorist.com to check out what they have to offer. I use them quite a bit.

I just celebrated my 18 birthday in WDW. My parents (yes, they were I chaperones)told the CM that it was my birthday that week, and I got a suprise my birthday morning.

We had a character breakfast at 1900 Park Fair that morning too. It is my favorite because the food is so good.

There, we were sitting down, and a CM went to another table and siad, "This is Michael, and it is his fifth birthday today." A few minutes later, "This is Cindy and she is two today." I was SO nervous because I knew my parents and friends were going to tell our waitress. All of a sudden, she walks up with a cupcake and says, "This is Robby, and it is his eighteenth birthday today!" They sang happy birthday, and they gave me a magenta placemat with Alice, the Mad Hatter, Cinderella, and Winnie the Pooh on it. I also got a great crown out of it.

I know I will remember this birthday for the rest of my life.

Took my daughter for her 3rd b-day last year. Went to the Princess breakfast and they told all the Princesses and gave her a cookie at the end to paint with a paint brush and different colored gels. She still talks about that cookie to this day!! We are going in September and she wants to know if they are going to bring her the cookie to paint?

Also did the ice cream social that afternoon at the Land Grill. Mickey brought her her ice cream cone! What a moment!
