About a month out from my 180 days and we have our ADRs all set and now we are concentrating on the "special" events. Definitely want to do the BBB for our princess turning 5 on this trip and want to do it on her actual birthday. We will be having breakfast (hopefully first seating) at AKERSHUSE that morning and then plan on spending the rest of the day at MK. Questions regarding BBB:

1. What time do they take their first reservation of the day at Cinderella's Castle?
2. Would you recommend the Castle location or DDD?
3. When you buy the full on package, what photo package is included?
4. Are photo packages available for purchase if you bring your own dress and just have hair and makeup done?

Sure I am missing something so feel free to provide any other tips/hints! Thanks in advance!

1. 8am
2. While there is the chance of her getting the window seat in DTD, there's just something special about going into the castle...at least to me.
3. I've never done the full pkg. I know you can go take pics after (I think inside Castle Couture) and they have photopass photogs in there, but no clue what all would be included on the photos.
4. Yes. In fact, BBB is one of the few places where I can just never get my camera settings right so I have always had to buy some of the Photopass pics in BBB. We've always done the middle package and had tons of photopass pics to pick from.

Hmmmmm....To do BBB or Akershuse first...I wish one of them would open at like 7. :)

Could you do a late BBB appointment the night before and then Akershus the following morning? While we saw very little of this at CRT breakfast, our one time at Akershus breakfast was filled with little girls who got their BBB princessification the evening before. The hair really does stay put.

This is DD6 (age 4 here) and this is her princess bun from BBB about 8hrs later...even made it through a 3+ hour nap (just before this was taken).

It's not as easy to see here, but aside from me taking out DD4s spiky extensions, the styles were still intact 24 hrs later.

Thought of that, but we plan on doing Epcot meet and greets with Princesses and then Illuminations for our first day/evening there. Not sure we could fit it in. We are to have an ADR at Biergarten at like 5 or 6.

That does make it difficult. It may be the kind of thing where you may need to restructure a day or two to work it in. A good friend did BBB and then Akershus on the same day, but she had the 8am at the Castle location and an early lunch at Akershus. I don't know if it's a DDP credit matter, but have you looked at doing BBB then CRT on an MK day instead of Akershus? Just thinking it's much easier to coordinate that since one is right across from the other.

We really want to try Akershus. So imagine we may not be able to fit everything into one day. :(

It's tough...there's just so much to do, but only limited time in each day/vacay. In all honesty, I've never been able to choose between CRT & Akerhsus. There are pros and cons to both and preferences towards each from both girls, so we did lunch at both on our girls' first trip, dinner at both on their 2nd trip, and breakfast at both on their 3rd trip.

The only wiggle room in all of this may be the meet & greets you'd noted. We've found that character meals help eliminate much of the need for this. i.e. they get enough face time with them during the meals that we don't have to devote much time for it while touring the parks. Not sure if that would be enough to work in BBB before Biergarten & Illuminations, but it's just an idea.

Our last trip we spent almost an entire day at EPCOT world showcase visiting with the princesses. We missed a couple (specifically Mulan which is her FAVE now). The interactions she had with each Princess was so amazing during this day that it was our fave day of the trip. So many fantastic memories. So we want to do that again. We felt rushed at CRT for her birthday breakfast on the last trip, so we are going with Akershus this time b/c of the reviews from everyone on here. More face time with Princesses is what we are looking for. She will only be obsessed with them for so long. She will have a great time no matter what but just want to make it even better than the last trip!!!!!!!!

Sooooo true. As we sit here watching Monster High -I realize that the princess craze is starting to slip away. Well, hopefully you can get the timing down with all of it since it sounds like it would be a fun time for her. :)

I highly recommend the MK BBB location because of the details. It is easier to get to if you are already going to be in Magic Kingdom and the overall atmosphere trumps DTD any day.

If you buy the castle package (full package) you will head to Castle Couture where you take about 15 pics done by Photopass photographers. You then look at them on the computer and pick three that you like. Those three get printed out. 4 4x6 size (2 copies of 2 of the poses) and one 8x11 of the remaining pose that you chose. They come packaged in a little folder that says BBB.

Photo packages can be added on for approximately $32 if you do not do the full package.

Also, just a note on photos, the lighting and all of the mirrors in the boutique sometimes makes it difficult to capture shots on your average camera.

Hope this helps! Have a wonderful trip with your princesses!

Hello again everyone,
Juts curious about two things:
How far in advance can you reserve, and approximately how long is the appointment?
We are bringing a princess with us in September and I am trying to arrange everything. We are looking at doing CRT on the same day. We can start booking dining in less than weeks so very excited.

The boutique can be booked six months out and I highly recommend doing that. It fills up quickly especially the MK location. The appointment is designed to take 30 minutes but if they have a costume to change into etc. it can easily take an hour.

The boutique also gets very busy in the afternoon, causing them to sometimes run behind on appointments. Make sure you allow yourself enough time between the BBB appointment and your dining reservation in case that happens. If you are aiming for one of the first morning appointments at BBB you should be in and out quickly within the hour for a breakfast reservation at CRT.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
