O No. I was scaning the disney website and found out that BTMR will be closed when I visit. oct 1st-24th it will be closed.
I guess it would be worse if the hm or splash was closed but I like to go on the btmr at night. It's a lot more fun than it is during the day.

Don't worry, I'm sure we will still have an amazing trip with an interesting trip report and lots of pictures for everyone to look at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 RnRC and SSE were both closed on our last trip. It happens. If it didn't, you'd be talking about Six Flags instead of Disney.

Look at it this way...now you have an excuse to return sooner.

I still feel that WDW should build 2 of everything, that way when one goes down for a re-furb the other can still remain open. This would eliminate all of the ruined trips when one or two attractions are closed during a particular vacation.

And ticket prices would be more than twice what they are now....Further, if there truley were all of these "ruined" vacations from attractions being down, why are the crowds continuing to increase year after year?

Big Thunder Mountain needs a refurb and it's getting one. I missed riding The Haunted Mansion when I was there in July and while I was VERY disappointed, it didn't ruin my trip at all. I'll get to see it next time.

Be very glad they are putting money into maintaining the rides :)

I'm just glad they still care enough about the attractions they're refurbing to keep them open. So many great rides are gone, and for whatever reason that is, they are - whether diminished quality has something to do with it or not. So yay to them keeping open the loudest ride in the wilderness!
