If Alladin can have meet and greets in Morocco not sure why a flying carpet ride could be there.

As with Frozen and Norway, Aladdin is not from Morocco he is from a fictional pastiche of various Middle Eastern countries just like how Frozen a pastiche of Scandinavian countries. Frozen would make just as much if not slightly more sense if the pavilion was themed to Denmark for example.

I love that because now any Disney character can be anywhere... Cinderella meet and greet in the China Pavilion? Buzz Lightyear in Harambe Marketplace? Moana on Main Street? they are all just visiting... lol

The story does specifically take place in China. Granted, not Han China, but still China. Would be funny to see the character meeting in the China pavilion and what reactions that might get.
