EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

We wants a fountain.

That dances.

And has cool lights.

And plays neat instrumental musical shows every 20 minutes of so.

Oh, wait…
That seems a little bit out there.... But as long as we're dreaming big, it'd be kind of neat if they took water from countries from all around the world and like used it to christen fountain you speak of.

I mean no one would really know but it'd be a neat thing for those in the know to be able to share as a fun fact trivia note to others.

Nahhhhh that seems like a lot of effort to do something that isn't going to really make a difference. ;)

I actually would not be surprised if the area goes under the knife again in the near future which is really saying something seeing as how the previous "Millenium Central" incarnation ended up lasting 20 years.
I have never so much WANTED WALLS BACK UP as I do now!!

The number 1, absolute worst reimagine was Rocket rods at DLR and look how long Disney has ignored this massive mistake!

This is why I think this Future world reimage will NEVER be fixed!
I really don't think it needs to be "fixed" in any major way.

But... adding in a fountain and fixing that ground lighting would really really really help it out kinetics wise. The ground lighting should have been fixed ages ago and if this stuff won't work, put in the fiber optics again.

To me at least, FIXING the ground lighting counts as a “fix” and to me, and BRINGING BACK a fountain they should have never removed also counts as a “fix”.

We can argue over words, but we all will lose since Disney isn’t going to do anything no matter if we call it a “fix” or an “add”.

And going forward, now it’s all Josh’s fault 😉

I don't count the ground lighting a major fix because its just placing what was there. Fountain would be a major fix but I would agree it could definitely use that.

Agreed fixing the ground lighting should not be a major fix. To me it’s unacceptable that they are broken and needed to be screwed down to avoid a tripping hazard.

I am only guessing but I think the lighting was installed in haste to finally complete whatever they were trying to do in the almost 5 years of playing in the dirt.

This ground lighting debacle isn’t the worst mistake Disney has made in the parks but it’s up there for sure.

I just don’t really understand how their lighting has had so many issues… they’ve been somewhat slow to fix the lighting, but why is the lighting having so many issues in the first place?
cheap, not the right fixtures in the first place (not proper rating to withstand elements), poor design of fixture housing within concrete (minimal or nonexistent drainage to prevent molding), poor lighting cover 'locks' which caused covers to pop up and become tripping hazards, massive struggles with overall lighting control systems, etc.

poor design, and cheap or unknowingly flawed products used
