Big announcement from Sea World Orlando?

Their website says that a big announcement will be made on March 5th that will change the Orlando Theme Park landscape. Any idea what this could be about. The only thing I know they're working on is the new water park. Is there something else?

That'd be my guess too. I'm sure they're just going to make it "Official" and maybe announce a projected opening date. I thinking Spring 2008.

It might be the expansion of Shamu's Happy Harbor. One of the new rides is already on property and a carousel is on it's way.

They're also going to bring back the "Shamu Rocks America" nighttime show this summer. Could be that.

My guess is it will be about Aquatica. The announcement is scheduled for today at 2:00 P.M.

I'm watching their webcast now, it is about aquatica. I missed much of what they were saying about aquatica but I'll let you know what they say that I do see.

There big draw it seems that will make them different from other water parks is that many of their slides go in clear tubes which go underwater where you'll see dolphins playing in the water. Their lazy river also goes underneath many tropical fish filled scenes and the like. The artist renderings look nice we'll have to see how it actually turns out. It looks to be as nice as Disney's water parks at least. We'll see how the actual finished product is next year. It's set to open in March of 08'. Too bad they're competing with media attention today. Atlantis just announced their new waterpark today and it blows every other attempt at water parks on the planet out of the water.

Virgin were due to operate direct flights to the Bahamas this summer but cancelled in late 06. A stay here was cheaper than Disney.

er this is the atlantis resort bahamas :wave: i think the new seaworld waterpark is what your talking about
