My daughter will be 3 months shy of being 3 when we go to Disney in 35 days! I am DYING to do the Boutique with her but I called and they said that it was strictly for 3 and over. A friend who is a Disney vetran (this is our first time) said that no one would know the difference. But I'm worried since she'll have her hair all done and stuff that Cast Members would recognize that she had to be 3 to get that done, esp at Character Meals when she is free as she is under 2! I'm also worried about them asking for her park ticket at the Boutique or if we get caught, would the park make us pay for her entry ticket since we told the Boutique that she is 3? HELP! We may never make it back to Disney and I would love to do this with her. Has anyone else done this with a child under 3?

The reason they do this is bc it is hard for an under 3 year old (and some even older!) to sit for an hour while they are "transformed." I was there last week with my almost 4 year old and the little girl a few seats away was definately under 3. The parents swore that she would sit and that she always gets her hair and nails done. Needless to say, they had to stop halfway through bc she wan't to be done.
I would definately wait... You might not get back there for a few years but it will be much more age-appropriate for her then.

I would wait. Why get into trouble? You are so right though - if she is "old enough" for BBB thety may make you pay to get in to the parks.

My DD is going to be 4 in June. This will be her 6th trip. I mentioned it to her for our trip in November of last year - and she said no way was someone touching her hair. Fine. Figured this April - almost 4, should be good. She cried when I suggested it. I think she is too young still. I am giving it until next summer when she is 5. Maybe then she will agree to it. She knows fully what it is about - as she makes comments in the parks that "that little girl went to BBB.....but I don't want to go - you can do my hair" - fine.

I say go for it, My daughter will be 3 in April, and she loves getting her hair brushed and made up, she even tries to put my make up on, but I wont let her, i just let her "Pretend". As far as the Cast Members Stopping you about admission, or Dining, Just tell them she is not 3, She Doesnt have any ID so what could they honestly do. If so ask for a Manager and just explain to them what happened. I honestly doubt any Cast Member pays that close attention, usually everyone is really nice, and I doubt they wanna try and ruin your day over something so silly. If you tell them she is not 3 yet, they should just listen and move on.

This brings up a good question for me. I am taking my family down there and we will literally be one week away from my daughter turning 3. And she already knows all the princesses, is very well behaved.

Do you think it would be okay to take her there? We are going June 29-July 6 and she turned 3 on July 14.

Suggestions? I know my wife really wants to do this with her. You tihnk it would be okay?

I totally think it would be ok to take her in there as long as you think she would sit for 45 minutes. My daughter had turned 3 about 2 weeks before we went down and had this done. She loved it and cant wait till we go back again to have it done! I think she would do fine!

Thanks. I think she will really enjoy it. And as her father I think she would sit still for it esp if Mom is there too making it fun.

Thanks for the confidence, I think we will def. do it.

Hi-

I'm heading down next month with my two daughters. 5 & 2 1/2. I made a BBB appt for my 5 year old...I asked to make an appt for my younger one & the CM said that while I was there they could put a little sparkle in her hair.

Maybe you could just go in ...and ask if they could just sit her in the chair and sparkle her up a bit?!?

Good Luck!

That might work, if she's already paying for another child. Although, I dont see why its such a big deal b/c you are going to paying for it. If you want to spend your $ on that, why should they care that much. I understand small ones not wanting to sit for such a long time, but then again, that is a 'risk' you take with a little one doing the BBB. Since only my oldest can to do the BBB (shes 7 and my youngest will be 2), we have decided to do our own little 'boutique' back in our room... I'll do makeup, nails and dress up my girls... we'll save some money and we get to do it together.

hi i've never ever posted on a forum before so I am a little nervous! but when i read this thread I thought I'd share my experience.
On our last visit in October 2007 were visiting downtown disney and whilst shopping had a little peak at the boutique! The lady asked if I would like to make an appointment and I said my daughter wasn't old enough as at the time she was only 2yrs 3months! I already had in hand a whole ariel outfit and the lady said it seemed a shame and went off to speak to her supervisor, an hour later my little girl had had a whole princess makeover! The girls there were great and said it was fine if I thought she would sit, luckily she was an angel that day! I'm not sure if I was lucky or if its common practice but if you think your little girl would sit it would be worth asking.
Going back in July 09 so so excited!
Hope I've done this right!

Does any one have any idea if they'd be strict with the age for the Pirate Laegue? It does not take as long at BBB. My DS will be 2 1/2 and sits very well at barber. He also wants to to everything his 5yo brother does. I really cannot do one with out the other and thought it would be nice to try Pirate League the night we go to MNSSHP.
