Hey,
Im Visiting the world in septemeber starting the 16th, but this time im staying offsite for unseen reasons, any body stayed at the best western lake side ? good points and bad points? and one last question what are the crowds like in september, many thanks
Ross :)

Stay for a pre-trip stay. 1 night. It is a typical Best Western. No real bells or whistles. Not the cleanest. But bed was comfortable & the shower had hot water.

I just stayed there for 1 night on June 3rd of this year so i could check in at WDW early the next day and hit the parks. (Pop Century for 6 nights). It was an average hotel. You are just down the street from a lot of tourist shops and there is a Wendys at the front of the property. Here is a tip.... I booked 2 rooms (adjoining doors) through priceline and got BOTH rooms for $40 with taxes and fees it cames to $63. That is AWESOME for 2 rooms. It is really easy to find MK from there and you are about 3 miles from a Wal-Mart..... hope this helps.

I'm meant to be staying in this hotel when I visit next summer, got a fairly good deal for it so not really expecting a huge amount. The way I generally see it (for a UK visitor) is that its just somewhere to get some sleep. Don't have much time for hanging around the hotel as there's so much to see and do!

Do the rooms include free wifi/internet access do you know? Would be nice to upload some photos and things after a tiring day at the parks!

We stayed there a long time ago and it was fine, as you say somewhere to sleep, there were a few restaurants you could walk to which meant I could have a few beers in the evening!! Have just looked in the Virgin brochure and it says all rooms have hghi-speed internet. have a great time

Stayed there in 2007 for a night and a half (long, long, loooong story), and as others have said, it is an average motel, you can sleep there.

The pool was pretty nice and peaceful in the morning, but it wasn't "picked up" from the night before. It looked like people's stuff was still laying around here and there.

The "free mini golf course" was in horrible shape, not worth the time, but there are nice looking ones nearby if that is your bag.

The service at said Wendys was well below par for the industy. However, there is a Subway and a Chick-Fil-A nearby on Irlo Bronson that provrided great service. Not to far from there is a good Publix grocery store also.

We found the breakfast buffet to be good food, although I disagreed about a calculation on the bill.

About the best thing about this place, for us anyway, was it is really close to DAK and AKL. You can take a left at the second light on Irlo Bronson, and it comes out right at DAK. You can get there quicker than any WDW resort hotel other than AKL. I can't remember the name of the road,
(it is like Siebert or something like that???), but you can see it on a map.

I would stay there again if I needed a place to crash on my arrival night before I checked into my WDW resort, absolutely. If I was on a tight budget, and didn't want to spend more than 40 a night on a room, I would consider this also for my vacation. If I was going to spend 65+ a night, I would like to think I could do better using priceline, etc.
