Not sure if this would go under this thread...but it's worth a try.

I want to get everyone's suggestions about which WDW book, based on it's history and stories, is the best. I am shopping for one and I would like to know which one you guys would recommend that's worthwhile.

Thanks in advance!

Well, some of my favorite WDW books are--The Imagineering Book, and Since The World Began

Also, Mousetails, even tough about Disneyland, is a great read, and the stories are great.

A new, and very interesting HM book is coming out soon...keep your eyes open:animwink:

I don't have a full set of WDW books like some on these boards might have, but from what I've seen, Since the World Began is one of the best out there on WDW, and its my favorite, at least out of the ones I have on the subject.

My favorite Disney book af all, though, is Walt Disney, An American Original (Bob Thomas). Its a bio of Walt's life, and a lot of greeeat stories! There is a bit on Walt's original concept for Epcot and how he went about building the foundations for Disney World up until the end in '66. It is really interesting!

And the Imagineering book is cool, too! It has info on all Disney theme parks, and a bit on their process of designing attractions and such.

Since the World Began, by Jeff Kurtti

I think it was made for the 25th anniversary so it doesnt reflect whats happened since, but its my favorite WDW book.

I'd also be very interested in this. I know the topic has been brought up many times before, and I remember there were lot of suggestions, but I couldn't do a good search without getting 500 results, so...

Anyways, is "Since the World Began" really the best option out there? I mean, I'm sure it's a wonderful book, and I'll probably try to get it, but it is out of stock and it is already a bit dated.

Unfortunately, the outdated "Since the World Began" is still the best option.
There are tons of great books about Disneyland, but relatively few on WDW.
However, for lovers of "Mousetales", the author, David Koenig, has done one about WDW. It should be out before long.

Also, no Disney park lover should be without "The Nickel Tour".
That is the most complete book on Disneyland history I have seen. It also mentions the other parks from time to time.
Its a MUST have.

Since the World Began is great, as is the Imagineering book, and so is Mickey Mouse: The Evolution, The Legend, the Phenomenon! and I also really like The Big Little Book of Disney. Little and cute. :D
